3 жыл бұрынI have something really special to share with you all. It's the ENTIRE Peter Allen Ultimate Event: Sanctuary Cove Concert from January 1988! It was for the grand opening of the Sanctuary Cove Resort on Queensland's Gold Coast, Australia. This is the same event Frank Sinatra and Whitney Houston performed at as well. This is a highly charged concert filled with intense emotion, feeling, passion, and a lot of great songs. Watch as he belts out his songs with full vigor, dances and does a split on top of the piano, and almost tears up on a couple of songs. Peter really gives it his all in this concert and has the sweat to prove it:)

I was there (I had a gig at the Sanctuary Cove Waves restaurant playing cocktail music), and (I kid you not) was standing beside Kylie Minogue and Jason Donovan listening to this gig. We chatted. I was surprised how small she was in real life - also very lovely.

@@TheMusicMagicofPeterAllen It was pretty cool. Plus the event had Frank Sinatra, Mental as Anything and Whitney Houston - pretty freaky. I met Sinatra when he listened to our trio playing at the restaurant.

There's only a handful of performers who are master's of the live performance. He was right up there! Not just his own material, but others. And his live improvisations mid performance. Genius. Plus he could move at the same time.

Saw him in LA when he was touring with his "Up In One" concert. Fantastic performer still missed.

He is one of my favourite artists. On stage no one can better him. I wonder about this performance in Sanctuary Cove that he had the AIDS related cancer in his throat. He missed a few high notes and mid- range notes. What a musician.

He was diagnosed with throat cancer in late January 1992; four years after this concert. He probably couldn't hit some of the notes because of overusing his vocal cords. He performed non-stop!

Someone must have taped it off their TV. You can always try contacting Network Nine and see if they have a copy.

There was a copy on Ebay for $30,000 which is ridiculous. If the seller was selling a pirated video taped off the TV then they can get in serious trouble for doing so since that tape was never commercially released and its copyright is probably owned by whatever network that broadcasted it. I'm surprised Ebay was never notified by this item being for sale.

Try contacting Network 10 if you haven't already. You can always report the seller on Ebay if you believe it was a pirated tape. Then they would have no right to be selling it in the first place and get in legal trouble for copyright infringement.
