I'm hearing a kind of fluttery kind of effect to jesse's tone? Almost reminds me a little of Kurt Rosenwinkle. Anyone know what that's about?

personally i feel petes comping can get abit cloudy, and sorry but sometimes it is nice to just hear an original root position chord, every now and again! just saying. but on the most part yes i agree, he's a great accompanist
@Eged2822 жыл бұрын
I agree with you partially on the root thing. However, Pete’s volume is ON POINT when it comes to volume. Very Jim Hall-ish approach..semi electric(almost acoustic), great time and support. He’s playing subs all over the place which requires Jesse to Listen and follow. And that takes a bit out of the harmonic freedom of Jesse, and makes it all too brainy. Jesse is a bad MF that can make his own subs. Regardless: these two or my favorites-a top notch.

I see what you mean, at the beginning I had the feeling Pete played a little too much but when Jesse begins the solo he can get your attention.
@m.r.21834 жыл бұрын
Pete is an amazing accompanist and his solo is incredible. I’m sorry to say the rhythm sort of lost intensity when Jesse was comping.

Too much staring at the neck by both players. Look forward please, to the listeners!!!!
@JackHandysideMusicUK4 жыл бұрын
What's wrong with looking at the neck? These two are arguably some of the finest masters of our time and you're complaining about posture LOL
