One of the greatest films of all time.

My second 'Peter review'! Fine wordsmithing again, which is clearly always going to be a feature - yay!. As for Living, I saw it a short while back and left slightly perplexed: I enjoyed it for sure, but it was very sad and left me with many questions, the main one I believe you have just (half) answered: haven't we all got that diagnosis or is it just that we have to be told it to 'take action'? Definitely someting to think about on a most regular basis.

I just saw Living Feb 12 2022 in USA. If, when you see it, remember time is in 1950 in UK the country was getting out of severe debt and inflation, families still struggling. Way Diff from USA where 1950's swimming in the best economy it ever had, where even a security guard could afford a 3 bedroom split level, 2 cars and send their only daughter to Catholic school. Ok back to the movie, I forced myself to sit thru the 1st half hour of severe boredom, worth it. To understand how empty void his life was. Then it slowly builds up, as he makes some changes and subtly struggles w those changes, The movie continues after his death, just letting u know to continue watching. At the end, I like the audience just sat there quietly almost until the credits ended. It made me think of my life, my parents life and my grandparents lives. I highly suggest seeing this movie, just stick with it to the end, you will be pleased you did.

Brief, to the point and true. The role fitted Bill perfectly. Will be recommending it to one and all.

A lovely film with shades of Dicken's 'A Christmas Carol' I thought because I haven't seen 'Ikiru'. Bill Nighy is superb.

Fear comes in all shapes and sizes and, occasionally, results in compromise, through which mediocrity and deception enters. None of us plans to become a “Mr. Williams.” Sometimes it just happens … like missing a belt loop.

I confess i enjoyed your succinct vlog rather more than the film itself. However, the message of the film and the performances do float back into mind as one tries to live life to the full thanks to YOUR prognosis 🧐😘
