Peter pulled a President Nixon by eavesdropping using his dad's tape recorder to record conversations with his siblings. Just call it Brady-gate! At least Peter didn't get impeached by his family lol!

I love this episode and loves these everyday scenes with the girls in their bedroom- I am a couple years younger than CIndy in real life and grew up with the Brady Bunch- my world! I wanted a bedroom like that! SO BADLY! WOW! SO GREAT! The WHOLE house! AMAZING! Our fater was a house painter, so it was hard for me to imagine dad coming home with a briefcase and suit everyday ! :)!!! Jan was and is my favorite- I am a middle child too!!!!! !KImberly

I know a high school teacher like Peter. He would get into his students' personal businesses that have nothing to do with him. Somebody told him to stop or else he is going to pop in the mouth.

I remember that episode. He used the tape recorder to listen to conversations with all the siblings and they ended up all mad at each other until they found out the truth. Can't remember how it ended though.

The sibs turned the tables and created a fake recording to fool Peter into thinking that a big party was being planned in his honor. Then he gets totally stoked for it ... and when the fiesta doesn't happen, the other kids feel bad. Parents (who had learned everything that had been going on recently) save the day with a sudden actual party at the last minute.

To my knowledge, it was never revealed what in the world ever prompted Peter to start illegally recording private conversations. Additionally, these devices made distinct clicking sounds similar to the first wave of answering machines. Remain in a quiet room long enough and they will be detected.

I don't think there was a reason, per se. He found his dad's tape recorder and decided it would be fun to antagonize his siblings. It's pretty normal behavior lol. I wouldn't be surprised if this plot was one of those real-life scenarios that were inspired by the Schwartz children's shenanigans. Sherwood's daughter said that happened from time to time and it was usually involved a brother terrorizing one or more of the girls because that's what her brother did to her!

@@AndrewMacLaine ... The trouble with these storylines is that time constraints force scripts to be compacted into a 25-28 minute format , leaving out key information. Fine for eight or ten year olds but those older question things that go unanswered. I'm always curious about what motivates people.

Maybe Carol and Mike (by creating the instant party for Pete) are mildly punishing the other kids for taking justice into their own hands. Maybe not genuine punishment--- but the parents wanted to teach the siblings a lesson: You shouldn't sink to someone else's level when they've done you wrong. Then you're no better than they are.

@@eduardo_corrochiothat's exactly how I feel about Arthur's relationship with his sister DW read even though she's the primary instigator in their fights there were times I think he stooped to her level like when he wanted her to eat new foods simply because he didn't want to miss the restaurant they had planned for their grandma's birthday I think Mr and Mrs Reed should have a talk with him about how he should leave the discipline to them then maybe it wouldn't give his sister more reason to be a pest towards him but when it comes to their children it seems that they only take the side of the one they agree with
