I was a teenager when he was playing regularly for England and I was never much of a fan until later in his career. It's nice to have a completely different view of him now. He was a much better player than I ever gave him credit for. His goals to game ratio for England in his initial spell in the side was unbelievable (helped a bit by that Jamaica hat-trick but still) and he had a fantastic career. What an addition he has been to the world of punditry.

I'm not into football much at all. A long time ago I was a bartender in Southampton and Peter used to be a regular. I didn't know who he was but we would chat a lot and he was always super funny, friendly and interesting. He'd remember what I had been talking about from weeks before. Absolute class act.

Crouch has top banter!!! Underrated as a player as well. Scored some bangers. 2 stick out for me, the one for Stoke vs City, controlled on the knee then BANG!! volley on the corner of the 18 yard box and a bicycle kick in the CL for Liverpool.

Probably Crouchy won't get enough credit as time passes for being a very good player. He was pretty clinical in front of goal and the ball stuck to him when he played back to goal.

I love how things have turned round for crouch he is a household name now but wasn’t like that at the start of his career 😢 but the positive is he has such a great character because of all the negativity he faced now he is loved by the country and has a better looking wife than all of us hahahaha he has the last laugh now ❤
