He doesn't have very long left to play guitar, and it tears me all the fuck up into so many pieces to see that smile when he plays. He's the only guitar player I've ever seen ALWAYS look completely and sincerely happy to be playing guitar in any capacity. 😭 My heart pains for him.

exactly. the way a person plays. the tone and the way the notes are played. that's when you know who is playing that instrument. that's why frampton is one of the best with that instrument.

Great tribute to a legend from another. I bumped into you at Luton airport arrivals on the night you and David Bowie arrived there during the Glass Spider Tour. I later waited at the gate for David Bowie's car to leave, he was in the back with Coco. I was at the gate with my wife, we waved as did he, nobody else there. We got in our Capri and drove home.

I hid out at my sisters boarding school 42 years ago... they student that hid me in his room played me Frampton Comes Alive. I've loved his music ever since. An ambassador. A true musician.

Oh.. That long lost guitar! Sounds so beautiful... It's like listening to a beautiful ocean wave. Beautiful Pete. This reminds me of the solo at the end of, "changing all the time". I love the instrumentals but miss that Frampton voice.

Peter, I am so glad you toured with David, and rediscovered how good of a player you truly are! What a wonderful time you both had at a perfect time in your life. I am sorry for the loss of your Dad, and close friend. As a long time fan who was inspired by your playing to take up and learn on my Dad's Decca guitar, I have listened to a lot of your music. A beautiful version - really gets under the skin of Bowie's wonderful chords. Lovely arrangement, too - this song needs a big sound (although I knew Bowie was also quite taken with an all-acoustic version he once performed, too) and you delivered. Would be fantastic to have Bowie's original vocals over this version, too. I'm sure he would have approved.

Amazing....not having the lyrics makes you just listen to the melody, and that gives you a totally different feeling than the original. Can't wait for the rest of this album. :-)

I usually can't appreciate vocal melodies being replicated on guitar, but Peter's playing speaks to my soul in a way that only David could with his voice. It's fitting. 🥺
