Thank-you Peter for sending me the tour video of Real World studios. That was so kind of you to get it to me so soon after my request. The video is so informative. I am in awe of how much goes into the making of fantastic music. Loved the tour thanks again! C.Miller.

What an amazing place to work in. As I have no idea of how to make music or how this kind of equipment works, I would feel completely overwhelmed if I walked into any of this rooms, but for professional musicians it must be such a delight! The space is so beautiful and the acoustics of the different rooms so stunning. The amount of natural light, the river under the floor, the amount of green, the old mill… oh, dear. What a romantic place! While watching the documentary, I was picturing myself working in a place like that (and having Peter Gabriel as my boss), and boy is it a dream! To see his studio has also made me happy, in a way, because as a fan of Peter it makes me glad that he has such an amazing place to work in, a kind of sanctuary where I’m sure he has spent countless hours feeling completely free and happy doing what he loves best. The same way his music makes me happy, I want him to be happy as well. Bless him!

A-MAZING. I think if I could meet one living artist and talk music, I'd choose Peter Gabriel - been a fan since the late 70's of everything he's done. Real World is like the Magic Kingdom for musicians. I've love to see it sometime.

i was really wondering what that cheapo casio keyboard was doing so prominently displayed. Since I'm always recording random keyboard riffs I'd personally love the ability to do this and have it displayed as such.

As a musician, the concept of the process of writing, which is such a private, personal, vulnerable stage of the creative process, taking place in a room shared with two full-time staff members, who you are paying to hang around waiting to fastidiously document every little half-baked doodle you try out, seems a completely bizarre way to want to work.

Yes, I thought the same. But then again, when was this recorded? These days I just have my DAW (or phone even) at the ready to track ideas with midi for voicings etc I guess Gabriel just wants the staff to do the tech stuff so he can just be creative....

Yes, you tell him where he’s going wrong. I bet he’d be grateful for the advice.

Gabriel have his very own way of working, and takes ages, he's a "slow creator", that's why quite a few musicians and producers don't want to work him anymore...But boy does he deliver amazing creative music, and these days about an album per decade !

@@davesaunders3334 It never ceases to amaze me that so many people like you exist online - people who can’t tell the difference between bemusement and critique, and always feel a knee-jerk response to defend what nobody is attacking.

I have heard of a guy who wrote songs using his banjo. So maybe it can be done even easier. Not that this isn't easy.
