Harry has admitted taking class A drugs as a teenager at a country house but said it did not make him feel happy.
Speaking to ITV’s Tom Bradby about his new book Spare, the duke said it was “important to acknowledge” his drug-taking, which included marijuana, magic mushrooms and cocaine.
Bradby told him: “I mean, I think it’s an example of the scale of honesty. You don’t seem to hold anything back. You tell the story about cocaine through this tabloid editor, you said, came to you and said, ‘I’ve got a picture of you taking cocaine. I’m gonna…'”
Harry interjected: “Didn’t come to me, he came to someone else.”
Bradby continued: “Yeah, OK, but ‘we’re gonna release it unless you give us a tell-all interview’, whatever it was they wanted.
“And you say, ‘I called their bluff’, and you’re quite pleased with it. But I just want to be clear, are you really saying that, third in line to the throne or whatever you were, you taking a class A drug is not a matter of public interest? Cause I think that’s a question people will have. Do you accept that is a matter of public interest for the press?
Harry replied: “I think what’s a matter of public interest is, is the relationship between the institution with the tabloid media. That to me is more public interest in, anything else.”

Oh and the fact that numerous studies have shown that alcohol is far worse than weed in many aspects like physical & mental health not to mention breaking up families & crime, usually violent (just look up how many arrests are made in a single weekend due to people's actions on alcohol compared to weed). Oh well, facts & commonsense have no place it seems when one is being critical of the alcohol industry. 🥰

I'm terrified of addicts. There was a huge fight between illegal campers who erected tents approx a few hundred yards from our home, which ended badly with one lady in hospital. Needles were found once they cleared the site, the only time we saw the police despite everyone in the vicinity begging for help. The children couldn't even use their normal school route. I cannot begin to imagine the huge fear his staff felt, admin or protection, all those years. He should have been booked for possession and under the influence, not protected and allowed to spurt off on telly making millions from a family he doesn't even respect.

Harry was high on coke during the interviews with Bradbury and Colbert. He's using every day and not just marijuana. It's a mix of alcohol and coke during the day, marijuana in the evening to relax but also LSD equivalents to party (like mushrooms). He's probably on Xanax (Valium) as well. During the London years it was ecstasy as well. He's talking about the sorrow after Diana but when he was 12 he got help from therapists and family members. The drugs started partying out in London from the age of 17 and he was always loud, jolly and having fun. So 5 years after Diana's death there was no sign of grief at all. Just a spoilt rich kid that had lots of fun, getting drunk and doing drugs. He was always saved by then Prince Charles. The RH lied a thousand lies to protect Harry and always told the truth about William bc he never did anything scandalous or illegal. It's the total opposite than what Harry and Meghan claims. Meghan is doing drugs too but mostly wine and coke. Marijuana in the evening. And of course the slimming pills!

I have been made aware of a mental illness called the "Kruger Dunning" effect. I think Harry and Megan have it in spades. British Army Senior Officers are saying that the reason Harry left the Army is due to his inability to pass the written and oral exams for Major. His Co-Pilot when flying Helicopters was always a Ace-Pilot that could bale him out if he got into trouble flying. I can't even guess what a pain in the butt it was to be The Princes minder.. I love Peter Hitchens. He always approaches issues with such a deep level of thought and honesty and is not afraid to hold unpopular opinions, if they are based upon sound foundations. This is absolutely right: marijuana is far worse than it is perceived as and end users are culpable for the drugs trade. If there were no customers, there would be no "Mr. Bigs". So many young lives are ended or ruined by County Lines drugs gangs. Taking drugs is not a victimless activity.

The problem in the US is down to meth and fentanyl which is being bought in across their southern border and marijuana has been tolerated in Holland/Amsterdam for decades, does Holland have the same problems as the US? Thankfully, the UK doesn't seem to have as much of a problem with meth and fentanyl as the US but the UK dose have a problem with cocaine and heroin and I know what that can do to people as I've got a relative who's been struggling with heroin for nearly 10 years and that does destroy families....me smoking weed doesn't.

I hate cannabis. I’ve never tried it nor have I wanted to. I do understand that there are some people that have to have it for medicinal purposes. I never even knew the smell of it until a few years ago. I’m in my 60s. I sure do now. The street I’ve lived in for 30 years used to have wonderfully clean smelling air. Now weed is all I can smell. It even comes into my house if I have my windows open. My daughter who lives in an affluent area gets this smell when it’s nice weather and she sits in her garden. No where is safe from it. Twice when I went to the beach last year , this vile acrid smell wafted over to me. I was walking down the high street the other day and someone was blatantly smoking it. Someone said on here what has happened to our country and they are right. When I complained to my neighbours (they are young) they just shrugged their shoulders and said everybody does it. They have though tried to contain it a bit more. It’s like they don’t want the smell of it in their house but I can have it in mine. It’s not fair . Hopefully they will move onto cocaine soon , though I guess that might bring worse. At least the smell will go. They are lovely people apart from that though. They also have good jobs, but they are hooked. It’s become too normalised.

Cannabis is not what it used to be, once it was just a minor relaxing drug, people smoked it, laughed a bit and ate cookies, now the strains of cannabis are extremely powerful and hallucinogenic as more strians are cross bred for potency, legalising cannabis as they do in America and several other countries also allows the strength to be controlled because people are not going to stop using it because a right wing news outlet thinks it should. The problem here is that for decades the drug policy just hasn't worked therefore a fresh approach is needed

One of the most difficult decisions I've ever had to make in my life was the decision to completely cut off my brother due to his cannabis use. That may seem excessive (or even a laughable) to come, but those people do not properly understand the consequences. It hurts me every day. Growing up it was me and him against the world, and if anyone had told me I'd have done this 20 years later I'd have never believed them. But he's gone from someone I looked up to and respected (even being younger than me), to a wreck of a person. So paranoid now that almost nothing can be said in his presence that he doesn't believe is a personal attack on him. Being around him is like walking on eggshells. He openly admits that his own partner or children do not make him happy anymore, all he wants to do is sit in a room smoking cannabis. Hes come to believe my partner, who has only ever been good to him and shown kindness, has a vendetta against him and shouts at her when he sees her. None of these traits appeared in the slightest until he house shared with a habitual smoker & became the same. The person who he shared that house with is now serving time in prison. Such a sad state.

Here in Canada, our government does all kinds of things so many of us despise. Legalizing marijuana (touted by our Prime Minister, who is known to have smoked it, himself) has meant that so many of us are affected by 2nd-hand smoke, we don’t know who might be driving near us, under its influence, crime and crimes against others could increase and our young people are set up to have further mental health problems. We are having laws enacted that suit some political elites and remove from themselves their own criminal records.

Same old anti-weed vexing just focusing on the part of the plant that makes people high while staying ignorant to the many benefits of the plant which includes helping with depression, insomnia, pain management, autoimmune disease and cancer etc. Weed does not cause mental illness. Certain strains of the plant can highlight what's already there good or bad. If you're already messed up smoking certain strains of weed might bring the problems to the surface. The anti-drug campaign of the last several decades has emphasized the potential harms of cannabis without acknowledging its medicinal properties. Harry was 13 when he first tried weed right after his mother's death. So certain strains of weed brought out the worst in that situation but weed doesn't cause mental illness. He was already a basket case before he tried cannabis lol 🤣

The Canadian government is actively keeping addicts addicted to meth, heroin, fentanyl, animal tranquilizer and other deadly drugs by supplying them with more drugs. There is no safe supply of drugs. The solution is to get people off the deadly substances for good. Marijuana is the least of our problems. I know people who get high on antidepressants and get horrible withdrawal symptoms when they try to quit and these people are out there near you and driving in your neighborhood. Now that's a lot scarier than someone who is consuming weed in the safety of their home. Harry's mental affliction was highlighted when he started using weed as a psychedelic. He's still using psychedelics to self-medicate.
