Oh God did you hit the nail on the head "In this stupid world, this is all a great balm". So much depressing stuff on the internet and then I see Jenn's happy beautiful face and hear Tim and Peter's uplifting voices and I get a much needed break from the sadness.

I have had a few laughs watching people react when they realize it isn't the Randy Newman song they expected. Seems to be a generational thing. All us old fogies are correctly expecting Carole King. These guys are so good together. You know how people say Adam Rupp swallowed a drum kit....well, I swear there is a standing bass inside Tim's shirt. You can even follow his hand doing the appropriate plucking. Amazing. Can't wait to get my hands on the album. And, as always, I enjoy watching you grasping for new words to describe them. Instrumentalisms is especially nice. Have a great day!

Nice to see the guys doing another classic song written by the great Carole King. Love James Taylor's version & think their voices are perfect for this style of song. I think they must be big fans of James Taylor's music as they've done 2 of his songs before "Fire & Rain" & "You Can Close Your Eyes". I am looking forward to all of Peter & Tim's collaborations on their new duet album.

Peter Hollens and Tim Foust were in the Acapella group Ball in the House together years ago. I have found a couple of videos of Tim and Ball in the House but haven't come across one with Peter yet.

Both singers are great in pronouciation of their words, both have a crazy vocal reach, they both are technically great singers and they love, luckily for us, to work together. I love their collaborations. I wish I had Tims reach as a bass. Love your reacts.

Waited throughout a cold, dark, miserable day just to watch you do this evaluation just now, figuring it would brighten up the evening, and it did. Love how you just warm up and smile whenever you're analyzing something from these two. This is easily the most enjoyable version of this song I've ever heard...classic bass lines from Tim. I most definitely pre-ordered....Thanks.

First of all Jen, I'm pleased to see that you haven't given up on trying low notes or making up your own words. My advice if one wants to make a bad day a little brighter or a good day even gooder ( yeah, I make up words too ) watch one or more of Jen's videos. I enjoy learning from you young lady. Maybe I can teach you something you might not know. Did you know that the flat note was brought into existence when someone punctured a whole note with a sharp note? You're welcome!

Jennifer! Yeah this one is an oldie. A very nice one too. These guys do a great job with it. Beautiful harmonies. Hmm, we know they recorded the BV parts that they then sang to ... how many Peters and Tims do you think there are? 🤔 Sounds like more than just one BV track with the two at times. But more than one, man that gets tricky! You got a little low note practice in ... bonus! 😁 And I love the nail color! BTY, a question I've been meaning to ask apart from this song you analyze, what is your secret in getting other vocal coaches and singers to come to your place? I noticed a bit of a tinny quality in some of the background vocals. I don’t mean that as a criticism; I actually like it. I’m wondering if you noticed that. Is it the way their voices come together or just the equipment they used?

As for the mouth shape Peter uses, I always thoughtful on this and most of his previous songs that his excessively open mouth was just bad lip sinking with the multiple layers.

Your noting their different vowel shapes is interesting. I'm not sure, but I don't think the differences are as much within HF. I'll note that barbershop singers are taught to use essentially identical vowel shapes. P.S. For some reason, your sound has a bit of a problem.
