I absolutely applaud this. Such a relief to see a company using our favorite childhood memories/character just as we remember them and not ruining the experience by "updating" or "modernizing" them. A very sincere tip of the hat to BT and it's marketing firm. Thank you!

Okay... this is how you do CGI RIGHT hollywood. Mixture of Puppets and CGI, I do hope the guys who made this will be able to do the effects for the Reboot/Remake of Gremlins so Hollywood doesn't fuck it up

Depressing fact: The reason Hollywood overuses CGI over practical effects is because the practical effects folks are unionized, CGI folks aren't. So they can treat CGI creators like garbage and even force them to change things at a moment's notice due to some marketing idiot's whim (Leaving little room for actual polish) in a way you physically could not do with practical. So, you should support unionization of CGI/VFX workers if you want more of a proper balance of practical effects and CGI in the movies!

One thing I didn't mention before: Stripe should have been featured more in this commercial. He is their leader, after all. And when people hear the word, "Gremlins," he's the first one most people think of. Come on, BT Business! Show Stripe some love!

Bloody awesome! :D I saw this advert on TV for the first time a few days ago and i think it's good! :) Every comment made on here is made my UK people, i don't think anyone from the U.S. has seen this yet but if they did they would love it! I would also love to see a gremlins 3 movie in the near future! I loved the 2 previous movies when i was a kid! :)

Gremlins is at it's essence a double genred film. It fits into the horror-comedy category. For a third flick, it would be great if they double dosed on the horror. The first film had an equal amount of both. Te second film had double the comedy, and only one part the horror. The best way to go for a third flick would be to double or even triple the horror, and leave in one part of the comedy. Now THAT would get people talking again, especially with the 80s kids/Reagan babies all grown up now.

I think what it actually was was people heard there was a new gremlins film going into production when infact it was just this commercial being made. Still, like you I would love to see a third movie :D

If your watch the making of video they say that they had the original moulds shipped over and new gremlins were made from them. Maybe they used cheaper rubber but I think they looks just like the originals.

God When I first saw this ad I was like OMG will there be a Gremlins 3? its been like 40 years ago since these films were made and then this new ad was made about 2-3 years ago. I wonder if they did make a 3 gremlins, if Gizmo would get wet more than once? I would like to see more than just one batch of mogwai popping out of Giz and perhapse even another good mogwai.

You seen "The Muppets"? they somehow did it... They brought it all back to life for the kids(although to be honest I was dissapointed they didn't include or even reference Kermit's Sesame Street years... alas, they didn't have the copyright or permission!) Gremlins 3... it's time!!! If Dante doesn't want to be involved, they should offer it to the director of that film, and have Jack Black star in it too!

It is nice for them to come out of retirement, but there is one inconsistancy, they are light sensitive, one of them was directly in a desk light and wasn't affected.

I'd definitely want to see a new Gremlins 3...however I don't know if thats just my misplaced nostalgia. Could it still work today? If Hulk Hogan started threatening gremlins now they would just laugh at him. I think if they do they should bring back Corey Feldman as a jaded version of his young self, maybe in the mould of the disenchanted 'Frog brother' type he played in Lost Boys. He could be like an old grizzled Whistler from blade. Continuing his quest to wipe out gremlinkind.

I know from confirmed source they did NOT use the original molds. They wanted to, but couldn't find them: they had to resculpt. That was a wrong information in the making of...!

Haha, I know my business and I know well of one of the puppeteers and consultant on this commercial... Besides anyone can see the sculpt is different; I won't make a list of differences, do you want?
