Glad you picked up on "I don't care whose it is, it's floating". Note the Dennis Taylor photo - he was the champion snooker player who was feeding Joe Wilkinson and offered to paint his nails on Cats Does Countdown. Didn't Jack Dee used to do John Smith's adverts?

Oh damn. My ex asked the same question. "If I could have any woman on the planet, who would I choose"? I chose "Abi Titmuss". I was in the dog house for days. She wouldn't even speak to me. Then my reaction was. "well, why ask if you don't want to know the answer?". They complain if you lie, then dump you if you tell the truth. Strange species.

I'm so glad somebody finally reacted to these ads and I'm glad it was you Josh. Somebody who actually understands British humour. Yes he looks younger because these ads were made a few years ago now but he was already a well known comedian at that stage.

I answered the question, that he asked on his download, That he didn’t know if Peter Kay “ was” famous when he did those, so I answered in real time, yes he was famous. I didn’t mean it in the past tense. He will always be for many of us. ✌️

Peter Kay is one of my favourite comedians, he is from Bolton (ant 20 mins from where I live) and is a proper northern comedian, Josh I highly recommend the top of the tower performance it’s the first show that put him on my radar, thanks bud keep up the good work 👍

Since you've been getting into English comedy you should check out this film called The Full Monty. It's one of my personal favourites. Obviously you cant react to it but it's still worth a watch.

I think they work. But to a point. If you lack the context then obviously it doesnt work. Like the daz door step challenge one, he laughed but I wonder if he got what it was about lol. Obviously some of them are just funny because it's not based on anything regional.

I love these adverts ...josh check out the tango adverts early 90s..the voice over in the john smith ads are influenced by them...there were a few that were banned one with James corden in it...the lemon tango ads are weirdly sexual

reason why peter isnt great on chat shows is exactly the same as lee evans they dont like talking about personal life..have a look at the videos any mention of what hes been up to or hows things etc he goes of and starts acting strange & distracting

Peter Kay was famous before these adverts, he had shows on TV and he was still doing his stand-up as well. You don't here mother in law jokes much these days.
