Peter Parker alone can defeat Venom without the help of a sidekick like Miles Morales. In Web of Shadows he literally defeated Mega-Venom (giant venom with 5 heads) alone without any sort of power-ups. He also defeated Symbiote-Possessed Wolverine and Electro. That includes all their minions.
