I work for a company who has contracts with health care and this kind of gives an insight as to what elderly people think can happen. I've seen people who think they needed to clear a huge space in their living room "where the equipment will go" so that I can hand them a handheld BP machine and tablet computer and watch their face as they are astonished that it's so small and how things have changed.... I have had the pleas of men desperate to have their pulse oximeter fixed because they will die if the nurse doesn't get the reading, the groans of frustration when I tell them they just need to reboot the tablet by holding a button thinking it's defusing a bomb.......

A woman called technical support because the scanner for her computer wouldn't work. After telling her every potential solution he could think of the technician discovered the woman was holding the sheet of paper to be scanned in front of the monitor, expecting the monitor to scan it.
