Matthew Rosenfield, I took Peter Schiffs advice in this video just before we had a crash from around February 18th to March 18th of this year, this crash made the Dollar increase in value, gold went up by 5% and silver fall by 30% during this time period, if I had followed Brent Johnsons thought which is what i was planning to do which was to own the US Dollar first then some time after the crash I could have bought cheaper silver with my increased value US Dollar. So I've followed the wrong person here but perhaps we should prepare in this way ready for the next market crash, could please coments on this please.

The price of the Russell 2000 per ounce of gold has gone down 2% since the high in 2007. And the S&P has only rose 1% since the high in 2007 in price per ounce of gold. Yet this economy is “booming”.

There was also a debate in May I think where these two argued opposite sides on the economy. I happen to agree with Peter, but like I said, they are both very smart, enlightening people. Gold Money requires you to leave your gold to the company when you die, whereas in a bank you can designate a beneficiary. It is also held at an unknown location. So no, it’s not more secure.

As a pro-Brexit Brit, I really think Peter completely underestimates the dire state of the EU right now. The only way the EU can even attempt to resolve the issues it faces now is through printing... And I'm talking about civil war here. There's going to be major disruption across Europe for many reasons; Islamism, failed economic policy, the French, the Italians, etc. I understand and appreciate his arguments, but the EU is much further down the Socialist road than the US is and the ECB will have to print.

That's a very national vision, whereas the financial market is global. It's not just about the dollar index, but it's relation to other currencies. And that always creates trading opportunity, if you buy Mr Schiff's gold then it must be traded somehow to pay the bills which is a total waste of time.

The problem with the Fed is banks create money based upon total productive (i.e. taxable) property, so the fiat is ultimately the force of the state to collect property taxes, but the Federal Government doesn't have property taxes. In other words, the maximum valuation of money is based upon the gross potential domestic product derived from Net Assessed Value of property. Although the income derived from property can sit in as a proxy, this is a poor substitute. As such, the federalization of money creation divorces the value of money from its underlying backing value. Primary banks holding reserve accounts with issuers of fiat should direct lending toward the creation or acquisition of domestically productive assets, not to speculative asset bubbles. Currently, the opposite is true - again, due to the Fed. Almost all economists don't understand money - and it really is simple. Same thing with not understanding usury. I think that's the big fraud: the absolute misinformation about macroeconomics and credit creation. Fiat money is fine as long as it ties in locally to the property assessment.
