Now JC as hard as that lady works you should give her anything she wants for her birthday. I think a strawberry bed is small compensation for all her hard work. But if that is her wish then it is her wish and it should be fulfilled. Happy upcoming birthday Mrs. JC. Oh yea great job on the truck...

Dear J.C. Smith. 👍👏👌 Oh WOW! Perfect, just perfect! 2) Glad to see that you two are feeling better. 3) Maybe it's only the camera perspective but the truck looks mighty long. 4) I know you know that you are married to a really, really great woman. Congrats! Additionally she is pretty too. 5) I guess it will be a pretty sturdy raised garden bed if it's done in the well known J.C. style. I hope that the skid steer will be strong enough to move it and you don't need the gradall. 😁 ;-) But jokes aside: I once built a raised garden bed out of boards 40mm thick and 200mm wide (called Baudielen in Germany). For holding them together I used thick zinc coated angle iron (similar to half of a truck frame). Overkill of course but that's the way I like it. To cover the wood from moisture/garden soil, I used sturdy pond liner. And of course I didn't forget to put a rodent barrier mesh under the complete raised bed. As always: Thanks a lot for making teaching explaining recording editing uploading and sharing. Best regards, luck and especially health.

Dear @@j.c.smithprojects Thanks for replying and especially for another heart. I totally and always appreciate both very much. 2) Of course not! So it will have to be the strong gradall to handle the raised garden bed element! 😂😂 3) I love Strawberries too. Sincerely yours Christian

2:20 i've had great success with putting grease as you did and silicone. Silicone on around the bolt holes and on the perimeter. My brother needed a similar job for a truck to move his sprayer stuff on the farm and i helped him with it about a decade or so ago, we pulled it apart to change the axles to heavier duty ones just before the pandemic hit and basically no rust between the reinforcement and the old frame. A single blotch off rust was near the bottom, but that section was slightly bent, so i suspect we either didn't put enough silicone to make the pieces meet, or the bend was post marriage and opened up that spot for water to seep in. Considering the truck has no bed, as all the sprayer components (tanks + pumps + compressor) are sat directly on it on a rail system, the silicone was the MVP.

Coming along nicely J.C . The mag drill is a time saver…I remember over a decade ago drilling with tapered reams the frame holes on Mack’s…the replacement trunnion frames used inch diameter bolts . The trucks were rear load packer garbage trucks so you drilled them kneeling or on a mechanic seat…the entire job was back breaking start to finish….but then I got a mag drill lol …only way to go
