Peterborough evening thunderstorm 06/07/2017

A picturesque thunderstorm formed late in the day towards Peterborough, uk so i decided to get a better view.
The video is shot from just south of kettering from about 9:40pm onwards.
Unfortunately i missed the most active part of the storm (whilst driving), but there were still some very nice "cloud top" sparks to be witnessed.

I'll never forget the supercell storm visible across parts of the south east back in May 2018. Never seen anything like it before or since. Even my American Internet friends were astonished when I showed them footage, saying it looked like something you'd see in Nebraska or Kansas, not Britain.

The one massive weakness I've got about thunderstorms is the rumbles of thunder I get really nervous and scared when there is a rumble of thunder

I thought UK's son will set in 6:00 PM. But it was 9:00 PM. Cause here the sun sets at 6:30 PM.

This is what I call a typical East Midland Tthunderstorm, there're the best in the UK.
