Today it started to rain after a long summer and watching this video now reminds me of all the times I used to draw and paint for many hours in winter while listening to your videos.

I'm enjoying making a series of "two-tone" pen drawings. I inked 8 pens with primaries, secondaries, brown and black, and now am making drawings with each pair of colors. So far my favorite is violet + yellow.

I do like to make homemade cards for people sometimes. I just bought some new blank cards it is 100 pound card stock. I had 80 pound but the ink went through the other side. The 100 pound is excellent. I will let you go Peter I need to shut my tablet off and go to bed.😊

It's really cool to me how freely creative you are and just how unapologetically experimental you are in a way. You do a lot of things on whims just for the fun or the joy of it and I find that really inspiring. Your work is incredibly inspiring to me. I actually started experimenting a lot more with doodling and more like.. for lack of better words, non-realism drawings (There's a term I'm looking for, I'm just having a hard time finding it right now), but in any case, of course its really different in my own stylized and somewhat more simplified way, but I love it. It became one of my favorite ways to draw and make art, and I wouldn't have found it if I hadn't found you. Anyway, I'm so grateful that you're here and that you so boldly share your mind, your creativity, and your work with us, the people, the fans lol. I'm amazed watching your drawings and talking probably last 4 years, when i randomly open your vlog-klog-blog and you newer been empty, enjoying!!! You are growing and becoming more and more interesting, unbelievable!!!!

I love that pen. Thickness of lines can be varied by speed of line you make and by tilt of the pen. I knew someone who wrote regular with this pen and somehow always wrote incredibly thin lines. Meanwhile, my attempts at using this pen for writing has always lead to chunky lines.

I like the Zebra ballpoints because they suck. You can shade and get lots of values when the flow is dry and crappy.

Peter when you said: "Good to see you" I widened my eyes in shock as I am lying in bed, holding the phone up, trying not to let it fall of my face. So I have a double chin and what you would see is what people see when they accidentally turn on the front camera. But I appreciate your thoughts. Also I have your song in my head now.. might just give me the courage to flop about as well! I loove rollerball and gel pens but they have to be good! Thanks for the video

I used those pilot precise pens for years, and still have them around the house, but don't fly on an airplane with them! They always leaked (well, I guess you could double bag them in plastic).

Your Powerful drawing always amazes me. Ok. I'm going to draw later. After my morning walk. The complexity of your drawings is strong. Super cool. How you be so super complex drawing? So much elements, so overwhelming. Yet very interesting and inspiring. Thank you Peter. You have a great week.

Love your opening dance scene... really brought about a chuckle on this really weird Monday. I've always like the Pilot Precise for writing, never used it for art, though. I found the same to be true of the Zebra. I like their ballpoint pen for writing, but even then, it's not my fave. the drawing you did really did look like a space station spilling it's guts... Maybe a hatch for a storage comparment burst for whatever reason.

I thought I had something on my screen and was trying to clean it off until I realized it was on their wall, not a burned out pixel on my screen.

Hullo Peter, I am of the belief that you can create beautiful art pieces and not empty your wallet or bank account! I have suffered the extreme humiliation of a person bringing my art back to me because it was fading or changing colors, the worst was a yellowing of my paper in a portrait I had done at an ArtFaire and I just picked up a discount paper pad and it was not Ph neutral! I have had a painting comeback too! So I do believe that you need to buy the best supplies you can afford. You must at least use the best surface! I have only used 100% cotton paper for years now and I am still careful about the books I buy for sketchbooks! I know that you can scan your art and keep a pristine copy safe in a digital file! I have taken quite a few photos of my artworks and I believe they are available for future prints and reproduction should I have the need or there comes a time to do so. Thank you for sharing your wonderful ideas and drawings with us! Nice intro if I may say so! Have a lovely day Peter!

Hey Peter. These pens look similar in writing etc to the rollerball pens from Parker. The difference between those and regular ballpoint is all in the ink, rollerball pens have waterbased ink (like fountain pens!) whilst normal ballpoint pens have gel/oil based ink.

A good pen is everything. I still prefer to write with a fountain pen.

Pilot precision v5 is the goat

Well I have you up on a wall size projector screen talking through a Bose sound system. It's a bit surreal.

You can get a version of the V5 with replaceable cartridges. Same cartridges that Pilot uses for their fountain pens. I ordered one and think I'm going to experiment with some of my bottled fountain pen inks.

You should compare the V7 to a Pilot Varsity & you'll see the similarity to the non-removable section. The fins are an accumulator that helps guide the ink along with the feed. There are also V5's if you want a finer point size i.e. 0.5 mm instead of 0.7 mm. If I remember correctly, you've had experience with the Pilot Varsity, a disposable fountain pen. It doesn't have to be disposable. I've already emptied the one I have, and have since refilled it and it works like a champ!!

Great picture as always Peter. I quite like the Z-grips for note taking. If the grip is bothersome you can always unscrew the front and flip the rubber grip upside down :)

the pilot precise pens are rollerballs. rollerballs use liquidy ink like fountain pens do, that's why they write so good. gel pens turn liquid-like when the ball agitates the ink solution so they're like a mix between ballpoints and rollerballs. you should try a Stabilo Worker Bionic pen; or the Pilot Hi-Tecpoint V7. they're both rollerballs and they're refillable

I just threw out an old BIC pen that I found on the ground a year ago. But the ink quality was so bad that I just had to throw it away. And it was halfway full of ink. A little more than half of the pens I own are pens that I found on the ground.

I have a Pilot Precise V5 on my desk, in blue, and it's one of my -favorite- pens. But oh my gosh does it BLEEEEDDDDD

The Zebra's are really nice for writing on regular notebook paper... I noticed I don't like them for draowing either... good call PeterDraws!

Before I switched to fountain pen I was using Zebra Z grip smooth and the quality felt like cross between gel and ball point. I brought the regular Z grip and wasn't the same. I have Pilot Juice gel pens 0.4 they are lovely and wonder they glide across the paper. I avoid buying gel pens in general because they don't last long and can dry out. Pilot pens come as rollerball and disposable fountain pen. I like how you add colour as accents to your drawings it makes those sections pop. I still like using brush pens for abstract work.
