Being from Baltimore, as I keep watching this it makes me reminisce a lot about them Monroe and Fayette Street days. I have family from that area that knows the real Fran and Bunchie Boyd. I knew Gary McCullough myself. He was friends with my cousin back when I was little. Shout out 2 T.K Carter. He had Gary McCullough down 2 a T.

Fran had the biggest smile on her face when she took her boys to see their house! You can tell that she was happy

This movie is the true definition of how it is being an addict on the streets. This movie is so underrated and all the actors did an amazing job

The acting & the authenticity through out this whole series was brilliant, but the scene where Fran caught Gary drugged up was epic! They both deserved an Emmy for the roles they played.

When Fran says "not you Gary.. oh, not you baby.." man it's heartbreaking. You can see the embarrassment and desperation in Gary's face. Man.. such amazing acting to bring me to tears like that.

I watched this when it premiered on HBO I was 24, didn't know a thing about life, watching it now is bittersweet, especially with everything that I have experienced between then and now. I cried because this is a realistic depiction of drug addiction.
@adamlis9321
I kept finding the flashback scenes to be outstanding, but that one flashback with a healthier Curt was just outstandingly eerie. The man had swagger and respect, but he also gets taken into drug fiendishness.
