Bro if our govt understand each other than India and Pakistan can be really peaceful and can grow together easily. But if they do so how they will divide us on the basis of religion and take vote from us. That's the reason behind this all war and hatred. If our people can understand it than it would be a better place but Idk when they will open their eyes on their own. BTW love From India.

I've seen a number of vlogs of the slums in different countries and I see one common denominator. HAPPINESS! Yup, all these people have smiles and wave, kids are playing having a grand ol' time. Concrete proof that all the toys and junk and responsibilities and keep up with the jones attitude does not make happiness. We could learn a thing or two from these people. I am from small town usa and am not condemning people that have a lot of stuff, but we tend to find happiness in buying new stuff (shopping) and husband and wife both working 50-70 hrs a week to keep up with all their stuff. A prison in itself. These people find happiness in friends , family and faith and it is enough.

Very well documented (again), Peter, thank you. I was in Dharavi back in 2011, it made an impression I can never forget. I remember walking through the small alleys with (indeed) electricity all-over the place. I all of a sudden ended up on a huge trash-dump. There I stood, in the burning sun, just turned 21 years old, looking at hundreds of people searching for ''stuff''. Mosquitoes everywhere, horrible smell, etc. All of a sudden I saw three kids playing badminton. As I observed them from a distance I realized I started crying. My guide (Sunny, who lives in Dharavi) asked me: ''Why are you crying, Juriaan?''. I told him I didn't know. He told me: ''It's certainly not because you should feel sad for these kids''. I asked him why he was saying that, he said: ''Do they look unhappy to you? No, right? You just can't handle the contrast with your life at home.''. Will never forget this (very) special place.

Impressive! Very good to see the young folks from different religions being so friendly to each other, and business minded. Also, they wanted to show the best parts. I met Indians before, and they are enduring, easy going and pay on time. I really hope India has a better future for its people.

I really liked the attitude of the red shirt wearing boy Joy. He likes to show and promote the best side of Dharavi, the entrepreneurship, the grit and determination, and he feels sorry that all tourists and documentary makers showcase the poor side of Dharavi, the filth and dirt.

Fun fact: Dharav's annual turnover stands at 1 billion dollars approx and many exotic leather product brands import leather from here to different part of the world. That bag in your hand would have cost you $500-$2000 in US for genuine leather but its only $30 here in India.

6:29 the guy got confused because in India mostly Hindus greet first using Namaste, muslims and other communities mostly use their religional greetings like Salam, and Jai Jainendra etc, and @petersantenello was wearing a cap worn mostly by muslims so a muslim saying Namaste got him confused.

Dharavi is not even 1% of it it's good to see you here but i will say if you want to see the real ancient india you should visit historical places and Villages...you can visit golden temple...and many many wonderful places than Always visiting a crowded area that won't make you comfortable ...btw everywhere area is populated tho😂 but what i would highly recommend you to come once again and visit.... there are many places in india by which you will be amazed and would not think to leave it .
