Love the lulu jacket but I was hoping you had a longer jacket to recommend? Not sure if that one is going to cut it for northern Canadian winters lol and it's so hard to find one for petite. Thanks!

I live in the Pacific Northwest and outerwear is definitely a big part of my investment in clothing because of where I live. In the fall and winter in Washington State, the outerwear is what people mostly will see. 😂 Love this video because as a petite woman, it is sometimes hard to find coats that don't overwhelm my body. 🙂

Yes!! Same here, I do have a-lot of outerwear and they are a splurge but the cost per wear is super low for me because I live in WA state too! These pieces are worn the most! 🙌🏼

I am also in Washington State! It's raining almost everyday so most likely we are wearing water resistant parka / puffer instead of wool coat 🤣 Wish to see more recommendations around those types of winter clothes Also looking for good and extra warm base layer...

I went to Banana Republic and I wear a size large. I, too, bought a trench coat. I tried it on during the summer and it fit. However, after wearing it in the Fall, it no longer fit me, so I trashed it. but I love how Banana Republic has multitudes of sizes in all their styles for smaller framed women. They do not accommodate larger women as well as the slimmer women.

This is a great outwear collection for petite. I just started to collect long coat in my life. And just bought the Uniqlo coat. The Uniqlo one is 1kg from my measurement. It is the heaviest coat I got. However, I heard of some coats have weight more than 1kg. Is there any coat being little overwhelmed on weight when you wear it on ? Please share how you feel about heavy outwear 😊

I don’t mind heavy outerwear as long as it’s structured & fitted If it’s super oversized and heavy, I think it can look a little frumpy :) I think the Uniqlo one isn’t too heavy IMO & it’s structured in the shoulders and has the large lapels so it doesn’t look massive 😊🙌🏼

So I actually got the XXS months ago through banana republic so I think they just ran out of stock on that size, but for this coat I don’t think it hurts to go up a size! It has a structured fit so going up on this I think is ok :) plus you’ll have more room to layer up! I went with XXS but I could have easily done a XS too if I wanted to layer thicker knits underneath:)

So I shared 3 mango coats in the video but I’m thinking you’re asking about the black one? ❤️😊 it runs oversized so go down a size! If your size is similar to mine then I think a XXS will work :) As for the other two, you can stay true to size 😊

Yes! The Uniqlo one is from this year and I think it comes in black or a dark dark charcoal grey! :)

I dont know if its still on but BR just had a sale and I got the trench coat for 40% off! Also we literally have the same measurements, I got the coat is xxs like you but if I wanted to layer for winter should I have got xs???

Omg thanks for sharing they have a sale!!! I’ve been eyeing this trench ALL YEAR and this is the first time I see it marked down 🤯 I ended up paying full price lol love that for me 😂🙈 But yes girl! If you want to layer for winter I recommend sizing up one size! The sleeve size will be more comfortable to do so if you go up one :) I’d say since it’s still on sale, just buy the bigger size and then return one after you try them both on!

what is the length of the your dad coat? what is the difference between regular and petite sizing?

For the length, I'm not sure on the exact measurements, on the site it says its 39'' but I'm assuming that's in regular. for petite it might be a bit shorter. For regular vs petite sizing, usually the difference is the sleeve length and the length of the jacket! However I'm not entirely sure with the dad coat since I never tried it on in regular but usually that's what the difference would be. :)
