Hi Gina, I love this design and made both the earrings and bracelet. I made them with my extra beads and crystals that I had from your Vintage Pendant Necklace. I thought it made a beautiful set. I also loved the 4mm crystals you used in this tutorial and I ordered some for another bracelet you call the cocktail bracelet. Thank you for your instructions and care you take in making things clear. gj

Love your work, your tutorials are extremely easy to follow, I just did the Petite Sparkles Bracelet, I did love it, but I also loved it without the final embellishment, it was daintier, and as a bonus, it was quicker than with the final embellishment. Please keep showing more and more tutorials, You are a great teacher, Thanks so much. Lynne Snyder

Last season I made a christmas tree garland very similar to this with beaded snowflakes but never thought to embellish it in the empty spots. Thank you for the awesome idea in how to add crystals to it!!! Love the bracelet as well, can't wait to make it into a necklace while tweaking to improve the garlands!!
@GinasGemCreations7 жыл бұрын
+LadyDarkShade Wow, a garland, good idea, a lot of work though, did you make it for a little tree? Because it would have to be so long for a big one🤗 tons of Crystal!
@CamberDesignsLLC7 жыл бұрын
No it was for a 6ft tree It was 32ft by the time it was where I wanted it to be it glitters nicely but with crystals I'm sure it will be the statement of the tree:) I've already started ordering crystal for this year's rendition I need to adjust the length and add more silver than last year. It was purple with accent silver. I also thought of changing the number amounts for the base to make the triangles and snowflakes I made with beads larger so maybe two kinds of garland this year:)

Ah my Gina...you've got me hooked now...loved the ring, pendant and earrings set...what a gorgeous present they would make for any woman (or man I'm totally hooked on RuPaul's Drag Race at the moment. . You should see how adventurous my makeup is lol!) I really enjoyed the bead box tutorial and although I don't think we can get that in the UK I have so many gorgeous beads that I pick up in thrift stores (I have a barter system going with a couple...I make some seasonal bracelets and earrings for them to sell and they hang on to things that are broken so I can recycle them, I also find that charity/thrift shops seem to be the only places you can find the old fashioned, traditional clasps for pearls. I use a lot of real pearls and I think they deserve the nicest clasps. I can buy 925 clasps but the new ones are chunkier than the traditional ones (I suppose its in the eye of the beholder and if someone wanted a new box clasp I'd supply it.) Anyway, due to this I now have quite a collection of interesting beads and I can just picture them in one of your creations. I will always tag you if I use one of your designs...again thanks for a great tutorial.
@GinasGemCreations7 жыл бұрын
+Foxiepaws ACAnderson Hello, I think recycling old jewelry clasps and beads is a great idea. You know some of the old fashion jewelry pieces are worth quite a bit of money to collectors. But, I like you, would rather collect broken pieces and make something new with them. You arrangement with the thrift store is a good one. I hope you do try a few of my designs, I would love to see what you come up with.

Hi! I have found old school pearl clasps here in finland, at a webshop called "Villihelmi" (wild pearl) so they are out there somewhere! If you want to, I can contact the seller and ask the brand or where she gets them? So you maybe could find them online too! Otherwise it is possible to order to UK from her website!

G'Day, My Lovely, Wow you have succeeded in leaving me speechless. This design turned out fantastic and when I saw the earrings, I knew that it would make a stunning bracelet and if you do the necklace it will be a"double Wow". It would be interesting to see it in another colour but I think that the colour choice you have made it in suits the design perfectly. Using Gold Seed Beads and a deep Ruby coloured bicone would be stunning also. I normally love to use Greens/Emeralds and Amethyst in bicones but every now and then the colour Ruby just takes my fancy and this is the case with this adorable design. It seems to work up very quickly and is so easy to follow and I think that it is one if not your best designs so far. Hope that I have enough of the bicones to make it if not I may have to order some and as I can only get decent quality ones from China they will take a year to get here or may be from Fire Mountain Gems.......they only take 9 days to arrive. Sorry about the questionnaire that I left in your last video.......hope I didn't seem too noisy! Is that a little love scratch on your hand from Kitty and does it have a name? At the moment the tornado is having (hopefully) a puppy sleep. She is settling down on her bed.......peace for five minutes. Hate living in the Alien Rash Bin so I will end on that note and say........Hooroo from me until we chat soon.........Blessings XXXXXXXXOOOOOOXO
@GinasGemCreations7 жыл бұрын
+Chris Phillips hi Chris, I don't mind your questionnaires, I know I read it, did I reply yet. Gosh, I am getting goofy in my old age, can't remember things I did 5 minutes ago. There are just a lot of comments to reply to. I save yours for last because I want to be able to spen time to reply. The kitty lives with Garett, her name is Dixie. I was out visiting him last weekend, it was his birthday. She is adorable and he just loves her! So, she doesn't live with me. Though I spent several days playing with her, no scratches. I stabbed my hand using scissors inappropriately. I was opening a box, at work. Ugh, I am clumsy! Well it's getting late, hope you ordered your crystals. I a better go to sleep, the alarm rings awfully early.

It sounds like you grew up with out the benefit of being read a book called "Carlie Cheesecake". It was written in the early thirties (I think) and it was a book designed to draw attention to the world around us (young children) about everyday adventures and what happens when you don't listen to adult words and warnings. The book was a black and red illustrated cartoon type of simple drawings and told what happens when Charlie decides to do his own thing. To illustrate this here is one of his adventures. It starts out (on the left-hand side of the page with Charlie playing with a pencil, now he was always told to draw with it but as he always thought better he put the pencil in his mouth and started to walk around the room. On the right-hand page was a flap which you un folded and you saw the result of what happened when he approached the closed door........ That's right the door opened and the pencil went back into his mouth! Not a pretty sight!!!! The caption beneath the picture read........."OH No, poor Charlie Cheesecake" and with my Grandmother's added dramatisation about what had happened and the terrible predicament of Charlie made one think long and hard to not put pencils in one's mouth and walk and around the room. There were many more things that he did. It was the old fashion reinforcing of adults do's and don'ts by scaring you into doing as you were told. Today it would be banned as being psychological damaging for our tiny cotton wool wrapped tots. We were always reminded if we didn't listen we would and could end up like Charlie........so we listened and obeyed!. It is a case of showing tough love to keep one safe. Still, today that simple and graphic form of learning makes me stop and think......Safety first and I didn't suffer from any psychological problems from reading the Adventures of Charlie as it made me wiser and it's the way in which I taught my children. So next time that we play with scissors use them wisely or you too could end up like "Poor Charlie Cheesecake" with more than a tiny scratch, you could end up with a very big bandage around your stitched hand! Love the Grand Fur Baby's name.........she sounds adorable and that's the great thing about having Grand Babies they are little visitors that come for short visits and then it's nice to be able to hand them back at the end of your visit. Looking forward to your next video.........as always it will be breath-taking-ly out of this world gorgeous............
@GinasGemCreations7 жыл бұрын
+Chris Phillips Yes, I definitely missed out on the Charlie Cheescake lesions, that's why I AM psychologically damaged😩 Ha! The proof is that I got a larger order in today at work, and how did I open the boxes? Why, with scissors of course. But I did okay, no cut, bandages or pencils sticking out of my head!😜
@chrisphillips18937 жыл бұрын
I am trying to track down a copy on eBay and if I do, I will let you know so that I can send you a copy and after reading it, it will scare you into using a Saftey knife to open your boxes with and maybe use some of the lessons learnt to keep yourself safe my little-not-psychologically-wonderful-out-of-this-world-bit of-Fabulous!!!! As my Grandmother said........."Stop and think, slow and steady and carefully do it otherwise I will become a Charlie Cheesecake silly" Take care my lovely......................XXOO

Utilizo Fireline, puedes usar nylon pero no sé el diámetro. Utilice un hilo que quepa en su aguja y pasará a través de las perlas fácilmente. La mayoría de cualquier hilo de reborde funcionará.

You are right Gina, this bracelet came out sooo gorgeous! The design that the component makes when it's repeated is really eye catching and mesmerizing! Also the colors that you have used are absolutely gorgeous. I might have that same cream colored 11/0 and I think it's gold lined alabaster if it's toho. It's a really pretty color which is why I remember it. lol You and JP have both been very active lately which has put me in hog heaven which is what I told JP. You guys are my faves for so many reasons. You not only make gorgeous jewelry pieces, but you use regular beads. You are both awesome teachers and I could go on and on why you rock! I also told her that I loved your collab that you did. Do you think that you will do any others in the future? That would be so fantastic! Thanks again for this stunning project! You are a gift to the beading community!

Hello Shannon, I am happy to know I am one of your favorites, thats always nice to know. 😀I am not sure about doing another project with JP, I wouldn't mind of course, it's just being so far apart from each other we have to be creative in the way we work out the process. But anyway, it could be done. Thank you for the nice comment and for being so supportive.❤️

Hi Gina, I was thinking of doing this bracelet and earrings to go with the Ballroom Necklace I have made. I would replace the centre crystal of the bracelet with a clear crystal to pick up those in the necklace. And also the drop bead on the earrings the same. Do you think that would work or would it look weird?
@GinasGemCreations6 жыл бұрын
I think it would be pretty, try it. There really aren’t any rules, just play with it. If it doesn’t look good do something else. That’s how you design. Just see something in your mind and try it.

I think you had a tutorial on adding beading string. But, I can't find it anymore. Can you put a link?

This is gorgeous! Can you please tell me where you got the 11/0 cream-colored gold-lined Toho beads. I have searched for hours and cannot find them anywhere. Thanks!

+Debra Conner I bought them from a wholesale site a few years ago, let me include the color number here, that may help with the search. The color number is: 2125

My 2125 is called Dyed Butter Cream Silver Lined Alabaster (like Miyuki 11-577). At least that's how it was described. Could this be the same?
@GinasGemCreations7 жыл бұрын
Perhaps, but mine are gold lined.

Hi Gina, you may have been tired but, as always, it's another beautiful project! Can I ask why you are using the different type of thread? You used to use Fireline. Is this thread thinner? Was just wondering. I hope this finds you well despite being tired! Thanks so much for sharing your stunning bracelet. Can we expect a necklace to finish out the set? Take care, Barb from Greenwood, IN.

I was wondering about the thread as well. I tried using the 10LB Nanofil recommended on another of your bracelets and I couldn't get the thread and #10 needle through the 15/0 beads. I finally took it all apart and used Fireline instead. Is Nanofil thinner? Thank you.
@GinasGemCreations7 жыл бұрын
+Barbara Wagner Yes, I switched to Nanofil, which is made by the same company that makes Fireline, it is smoother, thinner and stronger than Fireline. Though I still use Fireline too, I prefer Nanofil. Thanks for the nice coment!

+Mary Cheney Yes, Nanofil is thinner. But your size 15/o seed beads may be smaller if you are not using Toho. Toho beads are bigger and have a wider hole than other brands. I would recommend 8lb Nanofil, if that is the case.

Thank you, that is good to know there are other options!

Would thread burner work?
@GinasGemCreations7 жыл бұрын
I think so, I use a lighter because it blobs up the thread creating a knot that won't slip through the beads.

Did you make a necklace of this?
@GinasGemCreations6 жыл бұрын
+Decopainterandtea No I started to but never finished, perhaps I'll go back to it.

I was looking for them too and I never found a gold lined cream, but I did find #2125PF which is a Jonquil Opal color. I hope that helps somebody and saves them all the trouble that I went thru!
