It has little to do with the difference in height. Giorgi is the perfect foe for Kvitova. Giorgi hits everything hard and flat. Once you get the timing down, it's just target practice similar to a practice session. The flat, hard strokes also contribute to her unforced errors and double faults. Giorgi has no finesse, touch, or spin to her game. Like others have said, she is in desperate need of new coaching about five years ago.

She rarely have problems on defeating opponents who aren't that tall and that strong. Camilla Giorgi did defeat Karolina Pliskova last year twice, but that still is rare.
