Hello Makalea we have starting our new international trip we will be going to 5 countries now in Jorden.
Petra is a famous archaeological site in Jordan's southwestern desert. Dating to around 300 B.C., it was the capital of the Nabatean Kingdom. Accessed via a narrow canyon called Al Siq, it contains tombs and temples carved into pink sandstone cliffs, earning its nickname, the "Rose City." Perhaps its most famous structure is 45m-high Al Khazneh, a temple with an ornate, Greek-style facade, and known as The Treasury.

Ajay visit to Petra Museum is once in a life time experience. I t is also like one of the Ancient wonders of the World. Yes Our Own Ellora Caves and Cave no 16 { Kailasa Temple} Which has been cut from a single tock. You Trekked a lot inside the Petra Museum. The Monastry is indeed awesome. Though Petra looks grand India s ellora ajanta and many rock cut temples definitely beyond comparison.. But it requires more preservation patronage infrastructure and security.. Good work🎉🎉🎉🎉

well said - TN dirty and filthy public places make us feel ashamed to show to the westerners. Look at our Marina Beach and how dirty the sands are - what with paper raps of food sellers and every other kind of filth. I took train ride from Chennai to Coimbatore some time back. During the entire trip, both sides of the tracks were filled with garbage. I wonder if we of the Dravida Model folks should not move and keep our temples and public places spic and span?

let us not forget Mahabalipuram shore temples all made of single rocks shaped by human hands into temples and statues. Also in the south TN there are Jain ashrams at top of hills, all the rooms and beds are carved out of the parent rock - very incredible and a pride of Sanatan Dharma.

When walking inside the Petra you said ROSE CITY because the stones there were rose in color. I want to add here one fact. In India, Jaipur in Rajasthan , is called the PINK CITY because of the pink colored stones there.
