Comparison must be done between equals , almost 1 lac rupees of price difference between these two vehicle , will never let them compare in true sense , ( hero electric optima hx dual battery is of 60,000/- rupees approximately after deducting 20,000 of Gujarat government’s subsidy in Gujarat) , ( it working nice as I have one from half a month now 👍

Electric bike is best but we should prefer long sustainable renown brand Hero. Hero bikes are affordable & sustainable including battery cost. Most important Hero is indian brand

After three years you have to change battery and it will cost you around thirty thousand. One time investment on e scooty cost you more in terms of interest. For long drive you have to wait for recharge.

Electric is hyper as far as savings. Battery replacement takes away all the savings on fuel!

Petrol price will increase day by day at the end of 3 year it will go around 150 to 180rs and electric scooter Price will decrease..you hide so many things.

Have you considered the factor of battery replacement after 3 yrs? A battery constitutes 40-50% of vehicle cost. A petrol engine will live for long period - around 20 yrs. So, if the cost of the battery is not lowered, then using an electric bike will be a loss. By 20 yrs you need to replace the battery at least 3-4 times. This is a heavy loss. So, either the cost of the battery should be lowered OR efficiency of the battery should be increased without increasing the cost OR new cheaper battery technology should evolve.

If you are riding bike for more 3 years than for petrol it will be more 84000 and for electric bike it will be 10000 so for splendor total comes to 284000( excluding maintenance) and for electric bike (ather) 210000, so which is the cheaper?

@Debashis halder The real cost of owning a electric vehicles should not be calculated on three years duration. When a company gives you three years warranty on the battery, that means the battery efficiency is going to decrease after that period. You have to pay a huge amount to replace the battery. Or else keep on dragging the battery with drastically reduced performance.

Last 15 years mein 1 baar tyre change hue hai. One thounsand per year service including parts Petrol as per running . My bike's meter stop after 01 lac 32 thousands Petrol is best. Rest depends on mind set.....
