2 жыл бұрынI love my Minis, my Roadster and my old Clubman, but this 300 hp Mini R55 Clubman is the ultimate Clubman ! I took Ruby Roadster to Castle Coombe for a track day with Track Road Race and it turned into a brilliant day of mega fast Minis ! When I was invited to drive the stunning R55 Clubman race car by owner Keith I just jumped at the chance. What a cat it is !
I must say it was one of the most relaxed track days I've done, loads of tume on track and a great bunch of like minded people. For more information about Track Road Race track days visit their website.

Great to spend the day there alongside you and Sussex Road and Race. Despite my puncture, it was a fantastic day - I too had the track to myself for a while.

Even in the Ruby Roadster if your lend it to Mrs PP she can have the shopping done and returned before she's realised she's left! Nice R55 and youwere obviously delighted to get out in it and have fun chucking it round Castle Coombe. Keith looked very relieved when you returned it still as it were complete.

always loved me a R55. mines the daily. would love to get another one but a jcw and half track spec it they are a blast to drive, get one to replace your old clubman you will love it

Hi Ped Enjoyed every minute of this one.🤗 Took me back a few years memory wise when I did a sprint meeting in my Plus 8. Tower corner was a challenge, and I do recall an anxious moment going into Bobbies when I missed my breaking point!😲However I think this is a fab circuit, and it would appear you enjoyed yourself.😉😉

Awesome to see. Castle Combe is 20 mins from my house, so often going to race days, just as a spectator, although I have driven the circuit on a training day. Great to see you driving the track, it’s a great place, great people too, glad you enjoyed.

Just got home from a street party of bouncy castles for the kids, music,food and even dance performances, a raffle, face painting, stalls with different games. A few beers getting to know my neighbours. A fun outing with the family during this festive period. Now im gonna sit down and enjoy peters video.

Looks like fantastic fun would love to take Gonk my f56 Mini Cooper S on track but it's my daily and can't afford to damage it. Did you buy that 2002 I'm sure it was that one I saw in lay-by on a34 near Winchester on Friday with a bloke in blue checked shirt leaning on it !

No. Not me 👎 You can take your car on a track day and just drive carefully. It will still be way faster than you will ever do on the road 👍

I think they just wanted to make one. A little nod to the Volvo estate touring car in the 90s. It’s a race winning car. There is a link to TRR in the description. Book up and come to the next one 👍

It’s not much heavier than our r56 race car, it’s the newer models that are too heavy.

@@robertcarwithen5608 what differences does the extra length make on the racetrack? Ive got a R55 S but part of me wants to go to a smaller r53 as a track car. What can you recommend?

@@Globbs the extra length doesn’t make much difference, it’s the power that gives our clubman the edge, if u want a car that gives u decent speed and great handling the r53 is the way to go, or if u want something with more power then r56 is better. R55 is actually not that great ours only is cause years of preparation got it to where it is.
