Celebrating World Book Day (7th March) and coinciding with Mothers Day (10th March) we have brought pupils from Newton Blossomville C of E Primary School, part of the Village Schools Federation, to Crufts for a live session of Read2Dogs, the scheme that allows us to bring PAT Teams into all kinds of schools and helping children read out loud to the dogs as a way of improving their literacy, concentration, confidence as well as reducing stress levels and feelings of anxiety.
We talked with the teachers and mums that witnessed first hand the impact of having a dog come into the classroom.
