I am so glad Freddy is happy, healthy, loved and thriving! There's a special place in my heart for abused and neglected dogs...we took in my accidental husky originally as a direct foster from the previous neglectful owner - he was about 20lbs underweight and had never been to a vet. We were planning to return him once the previous owner (who claimed he loved his dog) made necessary adjustments to his life to properly care for the dog. It seemed to be heading in the right direction, but then the owner just stopped responding to me. By that time, we were smitten, so he's ours now. We've had our boy for over 2 years now. He had some serious health issues we got him through, and now he's healthy, happy, loved, and completely spoiled. So I love seeing others take in and care for these poor neglected animals and give them the life they deserve!! ❤️🐾❤️🐾❤️

The starved dogs is absolutely so cruel, I cannot wrap my mind around it! I wish I could adopt many abused animals and give them loving, happy homes. Thank God for those who do the work that we cannot, and do it with love and compassion. And Freddie is now in the most wonderful forever home, and this makes me so happy for him! I'm so glad that Freddie became the most he can be' I felt so bad for his friend who starved to death. I'm not too sure the owners got sufficient punishment, but at least they won'y be able to keep animals for ten years.

Funny Newfy story. I live in the desert and we have dog parks. I am at the dog park with my dog and there are about 40+ dogs there. Everyone is getting along and we were avoiding the pools of water in the dog park. This lady walks in with the huge beautiful white Newfy. The Newfy walks around greeting all the dogs and then....spies the biggest mud puddle with lots of shallow water. He plods over and proceeds to lay down and roll around in this muddy water. Everyone watching this go on has stopped talking and watched him to proceed to this puddle. Everyone is holding their breath while this dog obviously in heaven in this water. Then everyone looks over at the lady who brought him and she starts laughing. She finally says that not to worry she has lots of towels in the back of her car so her dog can socialize with the other dogs and it's not a big deal that he gets so wet and muddy doing this. She just can't not let him not socialize and if it means he gets dirty, so be it. She says she was happy to do all the work cleaning him up if he has a great time. We all started laughing and commending her for her dedication of bringing her beautiful solid white Newfy to the dog park to get dirty and greet his friends. He was beautiful groomed and looked like he had just come from a dog show. Sure enough when he left we saw her toweling him down with a load of towels in the back of her SUV. I just chuckled to myself watching her dog throughly enjoying himself and perfectly happy being toweled down. The whole scene was surreal...lol. My dog on the other hand avoids water like the plague, except to drink...lol. It was pretty funny watching the whole scene taking place. It was probably the biggest Newfy I have ever seen.

Where is the other Rottweiler? Those are some big, beautiful dogs.

I do not understand not feeding your dogs. There is no reason. We have two dogs and if it came to it, we would feed them before ourselves. Poor boys. Harvey’s death is heartbreaking. Freddie will have a long road before him between trauma, physical and mental, and trust issues.

I did a quick conversion of kg to lbs for Freddy (since I'm in the USA). I had a border collie mix and she was 75lbs at her lowest healthy weight. When I saw that 7.55kg=16 lbs, I cried.

As a animal lover, it's very hard for me to watch how cruel ppl are to God's creatures. These innocent creatures are so loving & loyal. Why would anyone want to neglect & mistreat them. I will never understand it. 😪😢😥.. The fact that they can still wag their tails, when treated so badly, shows you how incredible these creatures are. 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾

I can't comprehend how someone could sit down for a nice meal and ignore their pet who is not just hungry but literally starving. No doubt Freddie begged for food when his owner had dinner. He was 11 kilograms when he was rescued. That's less than 25 pounds.

Dogs can be so cute. Why would you want to torture one? I hate the reality that people can be cruel to animals. What goes through these peoples minds to want to do certain things? Dont own an animal if you cannot take care of it. Its clearly not fair to others. Alot of people love dogs and cats. I love my two cats.

I bet Harvey's and Freddie's owners weren't starving even if "things had gotten on top of them" 😠 the bag of dry chow was setting there by the door! FFS!!! No excuse, none what so ever. I have five dogs, (pit bull, german shepherd mix, beagle mix, pug and westie) they range in age from 5 to 17 years. All, but the 17 year old Westie, are rescues. I feed them twice a day. It takes about 15 minutes each time from filling the empty bowls to picking up the empty bowls after they're done eating. I don't leave food on the floor as it can sometimes start a fight. Those owners should have been banned for life.

I don't understand why the penalties are not greater for people who starve, neglect, abuse animals. They have choices: 1) don't get an animal in the first instance 2) if taking care of the animal is too difficult - give the animal away (doubtful anyone has ever been prosecuted for relinquishing an animal unless the animal had been abused) . But no - they prefer to hang on to the animal and cold bloodedly watch the animal suffer - they are psychopaths!! Bring back mental asylums and reserve them for the inhumane.

I had Border Collies for years (mostly rescues). And they are OVERLY sensitive. It doesn't take much to rock their world. The reason Freddy lost weight in the beginning is because he was stressed. New environment. Once he settled in he started to eat properly.

I’ve just started watching the channel. This cases are heartbreaking and I can’t help but to think these RSPCA agents need to train the USA CPS ( child protective services) , it’s crazy to me that RSPCA actually does follow ups ect ect but USA CPS will just forget children exist - I know case workers can be overloaded with cases but children life’s depend on them. But I’m glad these animals are being saved and getting a second chance at life !!

If only the USA would be this serious about animal cruelty. There are communities here in the States that turn a blind eye to the carnage of abuse. And when an individual rescues the abused animal by taking it away, the authorities can and will prosecute the rescuer for removing the animal from the bad situation. I read the story from a situation in Pennsylvania. An older dog was chained outside with no shelter or food or water. The owner told the rescuer that the dog was old and useless and was going to stay put until it died. The woman rescuer took the dog away and gave it to a rescue organization to save it's life. The authorities arrested her and prosecuted her. The Prosecutor told her that if she returned the dog all charges would be dropped immediately. She asked the Prosecutor "What if the owner puts the dog back on the chain and again leaves it with no shelter or food or water"? Prosecutor said, "Then you call Animal Services or the Police". The rescuer said that she did those things for weeks before taking the dog but nobody responded to her concerns. She was fined and sentenced to community service, forbidden to help animals in that service, she was ordered to help people in some manner.

I don't know how you do the job that you do but you have a big heart for the love of animals, dogs. I don't think I can do what you do especially knowing that some of these dogs are being abuse. God bless you in every rescue you have save these dogs. Especially when you rescue a dog who has been starved just because they so call owner don't take care of them. I don't get it why do ppl have dogs if they not going to take care of them they are man's/woman's best friend. I would like a small dog cause I can't deal with a big dog I would also like one medium size I'm not young but not to old to care for a dog.
