Without fail, I cry 👏🏻 EVERY 👏🏻 TIME Cindy Lou says, “I came to see you. No one should be alone on Christmas.” How Taylor Momsen didn’t get so much as a Golden Globe nomination for her performance is beyond me. She was earnest and innocent without being trite or annoying like some child actors. She really held her own beside Jim Carey, who’s a force to be reckoned with on a normal movie, giving a tour de force performance of his career.

Ps: that’s not a “grinch cgi smile” it’s literally Jim Carey. There is an interview where he’s himself and does the smile. He’s beyond talented!

I love the way Jim Carrey sang the iconic song "You're A Mean One, Mr. Grinch" while adding his own comedic elements to it like the hilarious sound effects. And his freak out when the sleigh takes off. "We're going to die!! We're going to die!! I'm going to throw up, and then I'm going to die!! Mommy, tell it to stop!!" Also, I really love how the actress who played Cindy Lou, Taylor Momsen went on to be the front woman and lead singer of a band called The Pretty Reckless. Also, I can sympathize with the Grinch, having been a victim of bullying growing up. I know the feeling of not liking people because of it. Side notes: I would *LOVE* to have Martha May's Santa outfit, her Whobilation gown and her flowing robe. (in my size, of course. I'm quite a bit taller and thicker than Christine Baranski) Augustus May Who is the true villain, and I never feel bad when the Grinch gets back at him for the years of torment by shaving his Quaker Oats mascot hair. 😆🤣

It’s great seeing y’all reacting to a film I remember watching on VHS as a kid. It’s sad that Cat in the Hat killed the possibilities of more live action Seuss films, as this film showed a good balance between kid friendly charm and jokes the adults can enjoy too. All the actors gave it their all and it shows so well on the screen, and I’m especially happy y’all made a special mention to Josh Ryan Evans (the young Grinch in the flashbacks), as he also played another beloved character in the form of Timmy the living doll on the soap opera Passions right around the same time he did this film. Happy Holidays, and can’t wait to see what y’all watch next. ☺️

The fact that Jim Carrey actually had to go through torture training for this freaking role. It is my favorite Christmas movie of all time. And the moment I 1st saw Taylor Momsen, she was my freaking girl crush growing up!! Elliot Page, Taylor Momsen, and Kristen Stewart were and still are just the freaking cutest of all time.

Im glad I was able to walk around the Whoville Set at Universal Studios and it was pretty awesome,! Sadly, it was demolished during the coronavirus in 2020 and now theyre building something new where it once was. :((((
