Hey Guys, DVF Automotive for another video, today i took another car from my work and this is a Peugeot 106 with the 1.5 Diesel engine with 58bhp, in this video i do the first test drive to see if the car runs good and if everything works properly.
This car is excellent, maybe the greatest 90's French city car i have ever driven.

Best car i ever owned a 1995 106xnd, simply bought for pure economics. Got me from a to b, kept me dry. Could chuck around roundabouts and surprise a few motorists. Great in snow. Slickest gear box. Loved the sound of the diesel engine, no nonsense power. 69mpg and would run happy on about half and half diesel and veg oil. But not in the winter i some time would blow the pump. But cheap enough 2nd hand. Did have to weld the door hinge bracket on the drivers side back on though, well known fault. The sort of car i would look for after a nuclear attack!

This is one of my favourite cars built by Peugeot, and it’s certainly prettier looking than most things that Peugeot are building today imo

Driving manual has lots of different techniques for different situations. For example I like to move my clutch out to the bite point and as soon as it grabs, I accelerate a little and the movement is not only smooth, but quick. If you go from 4th to 5th, you kinda need to hang in there to allow the car to shift smoothly because the rpm would have went down so fast you couldn’t upshift in time. All practice and experience.

bought mine for 50€ 8 months ago and ran it on waste motor oil for most of the time. Big bang for your buck.
