Be careful starting an engine with no coolant if you’ve fitted a new water pump. The seal on water pumps is a special type and needs coolant to lubricate it. If you run it dry when it’s new it will chew it out and the pump will leak straight away or very soon after. I learnt this the hard way….

When you put the fuel pump, did you set the timing on it? If you don't you are liable to strip and snap the cam belt over a period of time. There is a mark on the drive gear on the pump, that must be aligned with the mark on the casing. Goes in when the cam shaft drive strocket is locked in place.

Je hebt hoop ik wel de timing belt in de juiste gaatje vast gezet en de hoge druk brandstofpomp met de diskette case op de juiste puntje afgesteld? want als je dat niet doet kan je een fibrillatie krijgen in je nokkenas en die geeft het door aan je distributie riem waardoor je riem binnen 1000 km de tandjes af kunnen klappen. PSA waarschuwt daar ook voor. Zal niet de eerste keer zijn en vaker gezien namelijk.
