I’ve always liked the e-208. For me, it is what an EV is all about. A nippy, fun little runabout. But can it cope on a longer journey?

I find that driving at 100km/h compared to 120km/h on longer journeys saves me a charging stop. The few minutes you save by flogging it is very quickly eaten up 😂😂

I won’t compromise on security (fogged up windows) for the sake of range.

wheel in its lowest position fully extended tends to cause friction burns on the old wedding tackle!

good review i currently drive a kia ev6 but i intend to down size in the next year or so with a dodgy hip I'm thinking of the niro or the e2008 so hopefully you'll get around to reviewing those in the near future. regarding the queuing to charge if there was a black board where you have to enter your car reg on arrival would it bring some order. i don't like the exmas music either my grandkids call me the grinch

i am looking at the e 208 for my 70mi commute on highway about 5 times a month...... how do you think the car will handle the range on highway at 70mph

My partner is looking at the e 208 for her commuter car. Round journey of 80miles on duel carriageways 3 days a week. How do you think the e208 will hold up in winter?

Winter with the heater on, on my personal commute, I get 160 miles. Summer same commute, 200 miles.

Any heat on in the car? Looks a bit cold! Thanks for the range test though; really useful!

I had the heater on while charging first thing in the morning, then turned it off when I left. The drop in temperature inside the car was so gradual I didn’t really notice. I just used the heater when on the chargers. I was quite comfortable for most of the journey.

Looks like a very smooth and comfortable ride! Would you recommend it as my first EV? Will mostly be used for work commutes (20 km each way), rarely much longer distances. Will be replacing a 2015 Yaris Hybrid.

Yes, it’s a great starter EV. Great commuting car, and it will also do longer journeys.

@@chargeelectric9905 Thank you! I can get a practically new 2023 GT model for 27 800-ish USD right now, which is a steal around here. So I might just pull the trigger.

I suspect 'charger rage' will become more common place as more people buy electric and the charging network increases at a rate that fails to keep up.
