Why so keen in having max/high regen? Coasting/lower regen is far more economical than heavier regen if you're trying to get more miles per charge.
@MorzakEV
@MorzakEV 2 жыл бұрын
I think it depends heavily on the environment you’re driving in. Coasting and lower regen is more economical if you’re driving places where coasting is possible. But with a lot of urban stop start driving, where you’d otherwise be having to use the breaks, regen is more useful. On the motorways we use the autopilot anyway and this consists of less than 10% of our driving.

Did you ask what the battery chemistry was? Anode & Cathode? Ok to charge to 100% SOC daily? How many charging cycles expected to 80% range in the life cycle?
@MorzakEV

To be honest, I don’t know how many dealings you’ve had with manufacturers in the UK, but I don’t think you get a response to any of those questions. Their technical knowledge on the EV side of vehicles is limited across-the-board. I just have enough confidence in electric vehicles to not worry about those things are. The modern BMS’s should all be able to manage the battery and its state of charge, so that won’t be an issue. These batteries are all evolutions of existing tech as well and the lifespans are proving to be very good, so again I have full confidence it won’t be an issue.

@@MorzakEV None. Did ask via email here in Finland thou yesterday. I have a Tesla M3P from 2019 so I do know these questions are not irrelevant if one wants to maintain the capacity for years to come. If old school OEMs dont want to answer basic questions from interested prospects, then I guess they dont need my 51 000€. We'll see, odd sales tactics...
@MorzakEV
@MorzakEV 2 жыл бұрын
@@Leksi80 cool. The British sales tactics on EVs are particularly odd at the moment. The people going in to the shop usually know way more that the people selling the EVs. Again, for myself and the business, it doesn’t matter too much but as you say, for someone buying second hand it’s probably a lot more relevant. Are you having issues with range with your M3P?

when ev's dash say "100%" more often than not is like "90%" real world. any ev is safe to charge to "100", the worst battery chemistries ( li-ion) still do 2000+ cycles with 85+% health remaining ( 2000 cycles x 200 miles is 400k miles)
@MorzakEV
@MorzakEV 2 жыл бұрын
@@cbflazaro yeah, Tesla is pretty unique in having an adjustable charging level “stop”. Any EVs BMS should do all the hard work!

Do you charge at home. Can you claim for charging at home.
@MorzakEV
@MorzakEV Жыл бұрын
So this depends on what your agreement is with either your company or if your self employed or a director of a business, you will want to speak to your accountant. In the UK, if you get paid for personal mileage then you can’t claim for the charging, but if it’s a commercial company vehicle then you can potentially claim for the electricity for you vehicle from your employer or your own business.

I did test drive the viviro e and liked it it’s just nailing down the finances 😬The Peugeot does hive you more trim options which also makes it more competitive.

@@martingill6996 Yeah, I found if we went for a slightly different spec (e.g. dropped off or added some bells and whistles) then the Citroen or Vauxhall came out better - it just totally depended. It's nice to have so many options for a van with more than 150 miles range though, nothing comes close in this market at the moment.

Hi Alan, I paid 39k for my e-expert crew cab 75kWh professional spec with tailgate, steering wheel, alloys and a couple of other options. I'm awaiting delivery like everyone else and was told Sept-ish (ordered in March). Hope that helps.
