A short mid-week session targeting whiting and dabs. The main reason for hitting the beach was to try out the new Tronixpro monomag multiplier

Loved your first fishing video. Great to see another woman fishing 😊 I hope to be as skilled as you in years to come. I'm excited to go to Chesil next week. Booked a camping site so i can do night fishing too. Wish i had some fishing friends..I could learn so much more. I exspect i will be the only one on the beach 😁
@ClickBaitGem4 ай бұрын
You can do it! Chesil is a great beach to fish but makes sure you talk to the guys in the local shops if it looks choppy. They can warn you of any risks of rogue waves which happen on that beach. Always set up well back from the edge.

I had never thought of making my flatty rigs so I could unclip my hook snood thank you for the tip
@ClickBaitGem6 ай бұрын
You’re welcome. Cascades just don’t pass through the gills well and the snood clip makes a big difference when using the through the gills method for unhooking. I hope you get some flatties soon - good luck.

Well done i could not go back to multiplier pain in the bum
@ClickBaitGem7 ай бұрын
I’ve used multis since I was about 14… all personal preference, I like the fact that they are lighter than fixed spools and the mag systems in them make it easy to control the spool speed during the cast. I do sometimes use fixed spools but only when it’s clearly better for my fishing.

Well done gem! Seen you fish with the shore hunter.... Never knew you was from Kent! Will definitely watch more of your videos to see how my local beaches are fishing!!
@ClickBaitGem7 ай бұрын
I’m fairly close to Kent - I’m in East Sussex and regularly fish Pevensey Bay and other Sussex beaches, with trips to Chesil through the year. Sometimes I head over to Kent too! Thanks for the comment and feedback.

Ooooooooh…. So nice to see another female out fishing, love the video, hope there’s more to come, as much as I love Wayne’s videos, it’s borderline stalking at this stage 😂 great to get a female perspective! 😊

Thanks Karen! There will be more to come. I’ve got some better mics coming soon and plan to start making videos more regularly once the plaice season starts here in February. I’ll try to work on improving my editing over the next few weeks. And yeah, Wayne’s videos are fab.
@agapelove9164 ай бұрын
Hi ladies....Mel your sound & editing was fab! I agree Karen...nice to see other woman fishing. Now i know why men love its so much its so exciting 😊 Gem, what is the best time to go to Chesil & will i catch a sea Bass in March? Cant wait to make a 3 way snood rig for the first time. I'm gonna try wonder Glue instead of crimps actually gonna try both. So many chaps teaching me skills from detailed tutorials. Got my new warm gear to wear this time & my beach tent not a fishing one but it will keep the wind off me & shelter me. Fishing kit is exspensive but worth every penny. Only using 2 cheapish beach casters & reels atm to practice....hope i don't BLANK ladies 🙏🏼

my first book i had in 1977 aged 7 was sea fishes of the uk i read it so much that it fell apart in the end that was how i fell in love at such a young age my uncle took me out in a boat plaice fishing so i i totally get your bass aged 3 aspect it seems a much simpler time maybe im just looking back because i was young ?

i take a flask of coffee, with me on my matches , but in the old days it was either warmed up pies on my hippolito lamp, and/ or a camping gaz stove and frying pan for the bacon sandwiches

Hi Kevin, I honestly can’t remember but Amazon sell them and millets sell some of the jet boil range. I’m using the jet boil micromo, which includes its own ignition system. I can’t be trusted to remember to take a lighter or matches 😂.

What ever happened to just say 15lb or 18lb breaking strain lines.🤔
@ClickBaitGem4 ай бұрын
This is my take on that. The modern lines we have vary much more in their diameter to breaking strain ratio. So, in the old days 15lb line was pretty much always 0.35! But now, we can get much thinner lines that are rated at 15lb. Personally, I think the diameter of the line plays a bigger role in whether you'll get bites (obviously this is dependant on what you're targeting) than the breaking strain: the line diameter is what impacts how much movement you'll get from tide pull, whether the fish can see the line etc.
