i've got a theory, okay here it is: remember in part 2 (i think) you controlled this guy, and you made this guy control another guy. What happened there wasn't really that special, but for some reason they began playing some really beautiful music in the background as this puzzle revealed, and it kept me thinking that the stage had something to do with the story behind it. So here is where my theory comes in: i think that the main character (the one you are playing) is actually being controlled himself, it would make perfect sense since we see that the main character often make these controlled people break free themselves so that they could help him break free, so what if the main character is being controlled by another refugee who also wants to escape, and that the main character is just another brick in a bigger puzzle? sorry if this theory was a little confusing, but i hope you kind off understood it :)

Pewds, I think that the mermaid wasn't trying to help you, she was trynna turn you into one of them. BUT, if you look closely at the net, the fishes save you by unhooking the device and stopping your transformation halfway, thus the ability to breathe underwater.

the reason it is called inside because it's inside a human body, the character we're playing didn't escape from anything, he broke in. the humans that were shooting at us before were the antibodies, the pulses that we had to pass before was the stomach valve/heartbeat, in the water we might've been in the lungs, we can hear the breathing etc.

Amazing game and gameplay 👊. My theory is that Limbo was the state in which you are in the mind control state and at the end you was freed. So Inside is when the boy has awoken and is trying to escape from another illusion.

okay, i havent watch this episode and the final one but i i have a theory. what if inside world was kind of un utopia ? famine crisis We have seen a lot of dead pigs in the beginning, some others were dying because of worms and chicken were let out of any oversight. In facts, every cattle is potentially contaminated by this worms. slaughter and farms have been left out. Before being controlled, the boy family worked in a farm. When he wakes up, he goes to the place he knows the most, his farm. There, he feels a real sadness for animals that he grew with, that also why he knows how things works in the grange and also why chickens like him. scientist experiences But don’t you think the worms have any impact in the brainwashing of all these people ? as we have seen with one of da pig, worms control the organisms they have affected, just as the control machine which are attributed to a specific numbers of controlled humans (it could also be associated to a location). Here is an explication, the worms have proliferated a lot in a short time lapse and it appears that humans who eat infected food became lobotomised too. Because meat is more and more present in our plates, the contamination would have been brief. Scientists would then have reacted and would have find a way to restrict human loss (plus, if only pigs were infected, the worms would easily propage in humans because of genetics similarities between the two species; explaining why they are the only ones put on front stage). Rich in command Such a good deed huh ? but if inside is based on our society who would be victims of brain washing worms ? poor people of course… such worms would not have developed in meat of good quality, which the poorest of us can not afford. even if scientists have had in the first place desire to do well, some of them would have been corrupted by entreprises seeing a possibility of exploiting humans for no cost. All the controlled ones are going in direction a train, the march seems endless. most of manual and physical would be done by such a great workforce. Just like Ford decrease human aspects of his staff while improving his organisation model, scientists progress have permitted to reduce intelligence of their slaves. at least two different machines exist, one is presents in inhabited places and permits the total control of the body but need the immolation of the one who use it. The other one, forsaken, let the possibility of a few actions done without receiving order. society accepting this behavior How would a society accepts such behaviour ? chaos and panic provoked could let government and media to support control of people. Meanwhile some are making sure of the absence of irregularity, others are watching the ongoing mass like zoo animals still impressive (here by their number) yet dressed and harmless . those people don’t wear masks and would be outside from the organisation hunting the boy. however, if it was accepted why would be the escape of a child so important. Medias are some time talented to stay fuzzy with important informations. Creating a collective imagination more respectful for humans and decreasing culpability because « need to survive », testimony of a child would not be welcome. Plus, just like Tokyo ghouls lovers of high gastronomy, they were masks. Maybe, just like in the manga, everyone knows what is happening but no one is sure of the identity of the actor of such behaviour.

My theory: There's someone who is controlling every thing and every living creature there. But the boy somehow managed to not be controlled? The guys and things that are chasing him are trying to stop him from his goal. And i think his goal is to stop the person that is controlling everything and everyone from controlling so he can end this illusion world. Or maybe, I think the boy is being controlled by someone/something else and not the person who is controlling the mermaids, humans chasing after him, etc.

my theory is that when the boy had that plug thing in him and the fish helped him and he was able to swim under water, i think that exact same thing happened to the girl, maybe she was like the boy destined to get away from these people, but she failed and they captured her and she became one of their experiments and sshe was put in the water and then she had a plug put in her and the fish helped her,, and i think everytime the girl caught you she was just trying to help you to breath under water, but you die in the process, except for at the last time you survived and now your able to breath under water!!!! BUT HEY!! THAT'S JUST A THEORY!! A GAME THEORY!!!!! aaaand cut

Such a great game. I really loved Limbo too. The theories behind it are spot on. For instance, the color of black and white and repetitive dying all play into the overall concept of the game. The little details which i only noticed after i looked up theories behind it, made it one of my top games to play.
