They didn't even ask what Tyler does in the Marines. He's a CBRN defense specialist, it stands for (Chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear defence), and he scored a 94 on the ASVAB. (Doesn’t mean 94% in the traditional sense. It’s a percentile score, meaning he did better than 94% of people).

OMG thank you for explaining that, I am from another country and did not know what CBRN and ASVAB score of 94% meant (94th percentile is insane), that would have been the first thing I would have asked him in that round, not sure if the other candidates did and if it was just not shown in the final cut, but could also be that certain candidates did not ask to not appear uneducated especially in front of a youngster with a perceived lower IQ. On another note, I am also baffled that Kaylee was ranked so low, software developers know their shit, no matter the education or gender, they have to be very logic which is a big part of IQ tests

Kaylee is insanely intelligent, however she constantly has to do things in her life that help on iq tests and had multiple times where she did iq tests she even acknowledged that fact. The truth is IQ tests are something you can practice for and be better at until a certain point where your brain caps out on every bit of information you can retain, for tyler getting 131 on his first IQ test and no college education or any degree or formal practice he is smarter than her. His potential is higher and his iq is most likely closer if not the same as the guy who ranked 1st in the video with even 1 - 2 weeks of studying@@Zedernstaub

So hilariously true. Although, EQ is actually VERY important for understanding others and social interaction. IQ and EQ are actually both quite important. Low EQ means you are unable to pick up on social queues, probably have difficulty detecting sarcasm and poor understanding of the emotions of other people. When researching human behavior and even behavioral patterns of other species, EQ is very useful. For example, Jane Goodall was so successful because she had to have a high IQ AND EQ for her research understanding the social signals with chimps. This girl seems to not be that smart with it though.....

@Skr4t 666 Well, if they were told that this is about "intelligence", then EQ is sort of an intelligence.. emotional intelligence. But EQ is more about emotional control, emotional awareness. So it is a resource really. The IQ part is what will actually make you seem like your "EQ" is high. Because IQ is the enablerer for that as you probably will not say something rude to someone who is really down. Btw she is like 112, in most countries, the average is around 104 - 107. She might have high EQ, but because she is "dumb", she cannot properly utilize that and she creates this perception we all got.

you have a better chance to get a guaranteed job when you enlist in the miltary with a higher score. I had a 97 in the mechanical portion and enlisted as a pneudraulic systems specialist. I already had a AA degree and an airframe and powerplant license when I enlisted. Once I completed basic I was ranked as an airman first class E-3, so there is a small pay/rank increase....btw the USAF is generally the worst branch for advancing in rank. But after all, IQ has nothing to do with having which degree. I mean, as we speak there could probably be a farmer out there in the world which has a higher IQ than most PhD holders. But of course, maybe some people with higher IQ tend to choose specific degree and occupation, hence when you test their IQ in a population and then group them based on their occupation/degree, you'd *probably* get a result like "Average CEOs' IQ = 120, Researchers' average IQ = 130". Those are just random numbers I put there and pardon my English as it is not my primary language but I hope you'll get my point.

@@nicholasgerry6931 actually the highest IQ person is a horse rancher, so you’re not far off from that. But once someone gets a PhD they get it stuck in their head thinking, well I have this piece of paper that says doctorate so I’m immediately smarter than everyone else, but it’s often case not true. I just find it funny that one of them had a wake up call 😂 the amount of schooling will never determine your IQ

It's pretty fucking exhausting tbh, and maddening! Completely agree, the amount of degrees you hold doesn't determine how clever you are. The point is, just never belittle anyone! That's pointless anyway. Just work your ass and you're fine in the world 😂

That's something most people won't ever understand, cause they think being intelligent have to do with grades, degrees, and things like that. I remember when I was in high school, I didn't study or do shit and basically got all B's and people used to think me as dumb and many other things because of the way I carried myself, and there was this girl which always got A's and everyone thought she was super intelligent, despite the fact she had to spent literally the whole day studying to get good grades. At the end, when we did the exams to enter Uni, I passed at the beginning of the last year, with grades to go to basically every University I wanted, with every course I wanted, and I went there before everybody else, shocking everyone. Meanwhile she tried to get into medical school for 2 years after graduating in high school, before giving up and going to a different course. An intelligent person doesn't have to study to be Intelligent. If you're intelligent and also study a lot, you will be the next Jeff Bezos (I'm waaay too lazy for that), but being intelligent means you don't actually need to study or try hard to succeed. It's kinda the difference between natural talent and practice. If a guy is very talented at playing guitar, but he doesn't study, he will still be a great guitarist, but not the best, and will most likely be surpassed by a guy that has 0 talent but tries hard every single day. But if the talented guy decides to start studying, he would leave everyone behind. And you have to be able to differentiate who is really intelligent from the ones that are just trying hard before making any judgment.

That is generally a garbage way to rank people though, I would say that like 30%-40%ish of dropouts are generally people who acknowledge that they aren't that smart and they choose to get another job/have a job lined up. Of course this means that 70% of the time you're probably wrong since we're talking about America and school is pricy, so the chances someone intelligent from a poor family that actually gets to go to college/university is pretty low. And let's not mention that people drop out because of other reasons unrelated to intelligence like mental health.

He spoke composed, every sentence crafted to perfectly obtain his opinion based on hard facts or analyses of the way other people spoke and crafted their sentences. Which things they found important to say and how they saw themselves and others on the scale. High Scores A high IQ score, over 100, is typically associated with high intelligence. Extreme intelligence is 130 or above. Still, these outcomes are stereotypical. A high score usually means the person has a lot of potential, not that they’re particularly “smart.” Low Scores Someone who scores below 100 is considered to have “below average” intelligence. Extremely low scores, below 70, are usually a cause for concern. They may indicate an underlying learning disability. An IQ test may be the first step in diagnosing intellectual issues. If your child has a particularly low score, their doctor may also order: adaptive skills screening blood tests brain ultrasound full mental health screening Prenatal screenings may help detect potential intellectual disabilities before babies are born. This is especially the case for mothers who are 35 or older, or those who have used drugs or alcohol during pregnancy. If potential issues are detected at this time, your pediatrician may follow up with an IQ test in early childhood.
