Beautiful! I wish I could understand what they're saying. Yet, it suffices to hear their voices and rhythm for one to feel the warmth, love and care this family has and shares for their loves ones. May Allah be pleased with their feelings and thoughts and bless them with more, amen.

I wasn't able to give my son a proper birthday this year, but I had a meeting and they sang this song for my son... It was beautiful in every way, I'm very grateful to those who helped.

Absolutely beautiful - A great singer & Cultural diplomat from Chinle, AZ; Douglas Mitchell, (God rest his soul) shared many beautiful moments like this with his friends and students at Wesleyan University, Middletown, CT during the early 1970's. Navaho Music and its sentiments have found its way into many hearts around the world. Thank you all so much for sharing with us. "Viva Navaho!"

Listening to this song brings back memories of my grandpa and uncles all together singing to all the kids a happy birthday, the early morning prayers with my grandpa. The peyote meetings I attended and the ones for me and my sisters. Made me cry.

I truly am inspired by this song everytime I listen to it. Though I may not be celebrating a birthday I often find myself coming back to this song to listen. This song composes a family unit and a celebration of life in which I find much comfort in. May the creator continue to bless this family and any family going through any hardships.

I listen to this song every night and I love it, I may be young and stuff but, This song carries a lot of spirit. I know this because my parents tell me everything about peyote and I enjoy birthday songs more.... I am hoping to sing this for my mom's birthday... I can see how much this Father loves his son. I can see how intent this son is on listening to his Father. Too many of our sons dont have dads like this. In my simple mind, this is what is missing in much of Indian Country. Thank you for posting this video. Was literally in tears when I heard them sing and it remind me when my dad sang to my little brother on his birthday and that was time he sang for him, me, as well as my two sisters. R.I.P dad

This is such a beautiful youtube video I came across after work. I have never heard a Navajo Peyote Birthday song replacing the English version of Happy Birthday song during a home birthday celebration. It made me happy and to hear the baby's happiness. I love it!
