My regular 14x22 inch bead mat:
www.etsy.com/shop/RingBerries?
10% off Coupon Code: BRONZEPONY10
Materials: for practice
8/0 Seed Beads - 2 colors
Size 10 Beading Needle
8lb. Fireline
Stop Bead
Note: Procedure for bracelet using 11/0s
Thread your needle with 5 feet of thread. Put on a stop bead and leave a 12 - 14 inch tail.
1. Start with 1 accent bead, 8 background color beads, 1 - accent color)
2. Create a flat even count peyote piece that is 7 rows. Count the last two columns to get your row count.
3. Do the join and continue beading your bracelet length.
Materials for 11/0 bracelet:
Approx. 8 grams 11/0 Seed Beads - 2 colors (Duracoat galvanized Silver (Accent color. You need less of these) and
Miyuki Picasso in Montana Matte, Turquoise Blue or Smoky Black Black or Matte Metallic Blue Slate Iris)
Glue in End Caps
20 Gauge wire if you are using the open end caps and are making loops.
E 6000 Glue or Loctite Super Glue Ultragel Control
Below are some measurements for the inner diameter of the end caps. I went slightly larger than the measurement of the rope to be certain of the fit. You can measure your rope with a caliper.
Glue in End Caps : For 8/0 Bracelet - 10.5mm interior diameter. (the inner diameter is the important measurement)
Glue in End Caps 11/0 Bracelet: 7.5mm interior diameter
Open End caps: Minimum 6mm interior diameter. You can go a bit larger. The rope doesn’t have to go inside this end cap. Just up to it or a little past the opening
Links to Websites I used to purchase my beads:
All beads were available at the time I created this video. Prices are not necessarily the best so search for best discounts. I DO NOT have connections to these sites or get paid for mentioning them. This is to make is easier for you to find the materials if needed :)
www.amazon.com
Glue in end caps. I purchased a box of various sizes from Pandall Hall Elite. Tibetan Silver Alloy, 80 pieces. Not bad quality. Type Panda Hall Elite Tibetan Silver Alloy end caps in the search bar. I couldn’t get a link to copy.

Thank you for being such a generous, fine teacher. I always look forward to YOUR tutorials Stephanie! FYI...I learned that when I made a long necklace with this stitch that I had to watch my stitch tightness from beading session to beading session. I ended up with a slightly skinnier section in the rope then the rest. Was a good lesson learned for when I make the next one. I must have been having a frustrating day that led to tighter stitches:)

Thank you so much for making this video. I watched another one, but every time I got to the step-up I just couldn't get it right. I watched your video, and it was instantly clear what I'd been doing wrong. I now have a very well-behaved tube instead of an unruly bumpy mess. Now I can get out some patterns and have fun instead of taking things apart to start over.

I followed along & got to joining the two ends together and ended up doing about 6 rows straight.... With a bit of a head scratch and backtracking to where I went wrong I am loving this now. I think because I'm left handed, my brain couldn't comprehend the mirroring I was meant to do & also chasing that line at the other end... 💜💚💜 Thank you for the tutorial and to the beautiful person who let you share this tutorial, I love it when artists come together to help raise a community. I missed the bit with when you said with the 11/0's and only doing 7 rows so I did it with the 11 rows, but it worked out well for me to have a bigger area to run around, I've had neck surgery and have a lot of nerve damage in my left hand, so it helped me that way. Once I'm done, I shall try the 7 rows with the 11/0's. Thanks again 🙏💓

Thank you so much Maily 🌻🙏😀 I am not sure how to incorporate other designs yet. It's new to me as well. You can go to the Peyote With A Twist Not Crochet Facebook page. They have many designs there you can look at and make. Just type those words in Facebook search bar and the page will come up. You will join the page and then have access to many great designs!

Perfect video and explanation. I've finally understood how to do this stitch. Can you tell me the colours of the 8/o bracelet? it's so difficult to see the real colour when ordering on internet. Looks like a green picasso and a deep violet/red. You are really good at doing these videos!!!! Thank you.

Hi Gwynn! Thank you 🙏 Honestly I haven’t tried using a bead crochet pattern with Peytwist yet. Go to Gerlinde Lenz Facebook group page. I think I put a link in the description box under this video. She is the creator and master of the stitch. I’m certain you will be able to find instruction there 🌻😊🙏

I would be interested to see Cellini spiral with a twist. I tapped the end by using 15/0 on my last row and then reducing with 15/0’s, it worked pretty well.

BOUNCE BOUNCE BOUNCE Gets cup of tea and Scotch finger bickies and settles in. I made a torque/torc for a friend using peyote with Delicas in two shades of Bronze. Had some problems on the inner side with buckling, due to the way I made it. Will give it another go using this method. 🦄💐🇦🇺

DaMon Turnbull Delicas are not the best beads to use for this stitch. Round beads work better. I have been doing this stitch for about a year now and have had very good luck with the round beads.

@@debreynolds7323 Thanks Deb 😃 I learnt that the hard way😕. We learn by our mistakes. It was the stitch that was wrong as well. I was doing tubular Peyote🤪. I was glad to find this stitch and will be using 11/0 seed beads this time. MYTNT🐯🦄

What a fun twist ( pun intended, lol) This would be good TV watching Bracelet, as you only need to concentrate on the return of the twist.

second try with this stitch, which I really like, but using 8/0s, the tube seems lie it would fatten easily. I don't see any thread, so I think my tension is fine. Any ideas? Should i go down to 11/0s?

Hi Stephanie, I made a bracelet with 8 0's and it's a bit thick. Would this work out with less seed beads or you would have to use 11 0's? I love thi stich. Not difficult with your tutorials. thanks

I am late getting on this technique. I have a pattern but it starts from the bottom. So of course I think I have now done my small piece backwards or upside down or something lol. I cannot find a video for that type of pattern. Just one like you have on yours. Can you help?

Thank you! I think Delicas will be stiff and stick out rather than be smooth and fluid. However, I haven't tries it so it could work!

Could you do the regular flat peyote that you “zip up” after completing a flat piece, for a bracelet? Would it curve around your wrist correctly? I’m just thinking about getting brave enough to try a bracelet.
@BronzeponyBeadedJewelry
@BronzeponyBeadedJewelry 4 жыл бұрын
I’ll definitely be doing a tutorial on flat peyote but you can’t zip it up as it wouldn’t slide on your wrist. I’ll do it with a clasp 😃🙏🌻

You said for the 11's, you do a peyote of 10 beads and 7 rows - what if you want the tube even skinnier yet, but still with 11's? Can you do 6 beads wide and maybe 5 rows to start?

Hello Stephanie, I have finally completed my bracelet but even with 4lb fireline, it seemed stiff to bend. Will that be my tension? Thanks
@BronzeponyBeadedJewelry
@BronzeponyBeadedJewelry 5 жыл бұрын
Yes! It is stiff to start with but should relax after you get some length. I didn’t loosen my tension but I might bead more loosely than you do. Flex it a bit and see if that loosens it up 😀
