actually Piyush had almost no regard for their current product but he was hopeful that these entreprenuers possesed the passion to solve ONE problem, but do it better than it has ever be done. That's his mentality as an entreprenuer, to pick ONE problem and present the best solution that can help as much people as possible. His proposal for investing was to create an impact. While the guy already stated that he does it because "thats all he knows". He was not doing it out of passion. And that didn't align. Piyush wanted them to solve a problem, but they did not want to do any more work and simply sell what they already have - which is in an extremely saturated space without any distinguisher. It was redundant. So, he was investing in hopes of getting them started on solving a big problem where they would still own 66% of what they create. 35 Lacs was what he was investing to keep them engaged on a problem, which the couple was not interested in. They did not want to solve any "problems" and just market what they already have and increase their inventory. Piyush said that the market was full of similar products and there was no actual, "business" in it. It was about selling as much devices as possible in one batch and cashing out. Because it was not sustainable. The couple were not smart or creative or passionate. They simply created a generic model of a solution that they had slightly better clue of. In simple words, "their product was lame". And they did not want to work on a better product. Its the simple difference of mindset that separates the Billionaires from commoners.

@@vagabond7204 I respect your point of view. I think then the deal ( or no deal :-) ) worked best for both parties. Peeyush did not have to deal with unpassionate founders and founders did not have to part with 1/3rd of their company.

Wearing lenskart glasses my wife's vision is fked up, she got it tested at a hospital and was told that they've given wrong glasses against the readings. Her both eyes are now 1:2 power. My sister in law went for glasses to prevent glare and they gave power to her and now she's having power in her eyes. Lenskart is just making people get power in their eyes, even though they had no power to begin with.
