Thank you for the correction. I thought it ended on movement due to how it played out in my game.

It depends on how the GM runs it. Pathfinder doesn't have abilities which are "attack me!" sorts of taunts; it is dependent on the GM. The shield is also more useful in dungeons, where you can block an area (& the fighter can use attack of opportunity). I mainly run city-based (medieval cities, so very twisting and tight) and dungeon-based games, which likely biases my perspective. I also run a lot of brute enemies, which I run as attacking the biggest, toughest looking guy, usually that is.

I chose mountain stance because of the tank role. The goal is to attract enemies attention; mobility can be detrimental. Drakeheart is also a magic item, not a class feature. I was trying to list builds which were highly accessible for new players in this video.

​@@Cydewyn-fl4pm Can agree on acessibility point, but I personally think some grappling stance for monk would fit into tank role more (like gorilla, ripple or wolf). In Pf2e martial tanking is heavily dependent on class ability to force an enemy to stick with them, which is hard to do without either athletics or AOO. I do sincerely believe mountain stance is a trap for newer players. And when enemy runs past you and crits your spellcaster... mobility will become very important.

I was also considering that most adventure paths have a lot of narrow corridors (namely what I've heard of abomination vaults). I agree that overall it may be weaker, but it fits the vision of a "tank" that a lot of new players have better than a mobility based character (now that you mentioned it, I may make a video about less obvious choices which work well...)

I am playing abomination vaults currently as one of my campaigns and... while it does have a lot of narrow corridors, monsters tend to have some kind of gimmick which lets them deal with it. I am playing as a wizard and that freaking gug crawling towards me on the ceiling, above my stalwart line of fronliners, is a stuff of nightmares. And my other character in other campaign is a str based monk wrestler and I wish someone told me about literally one OP mutagen before I started the game heavily invested in dex instead of con or cha.

Can’t you use flurry in stances like mountain stance? I thought you’d just flurry with the specific attack from the stance

Not at all. They're glass cannons and go down far easier than one would think, what with the hit points. The -1 AC while raging is a fairly large part of that. If you want a character like the 5e barbarian, a monk would likely be a good fit. A champion, fighter (with the right build) or kineticist (also with the right build) could also fit.
