This is a test of a modified Pfaff 30 sewing Tex 135 thread in 6 layers of vinyl (600 g/m2). A universal needle size 22/140 is used.

The max speed seen in video is 540 stitches/min, and then the universal motor speed is about 8000 RPM with a shaft power of 50 W. The estimated torque applied to sewing machine main shaft is then 0.9 Nm. However the short term torque at lower speed will be higher and about 1.8 Nm with this thread and fabric.
