Why would Belichick at age 72 want to come to Washington to start over? If he could pull a Tom Brady and go to a franchise that is loaded with players and just needs a head-coach, maybe, but Washington? I don't see it.

Why is this so hard for people, especially people in the business to understand? Both have been complete let downs. Both ends haven’t had a double digit sack season in their careers so far. Both are on expiring contracts and want north of 20 mil per year and long term deals. They have already signed 2 guys on the interior line that are much better investments and oh ya, they have significant depth at the D end position. They need help elsewhere and they now have the 3rd most cap space in the league in 2024 and extra draft picks. That’s appealing to someone coming in to run the operation. They acting like this is the DaVinci code over here. I’m stunned at how people with national radio shows can’t understand things like this. They are strictly going on name recognition. Sad really

That would be an awful move for Washington. It is the kind of stunt Dan Snyder would pull. They need to bring in a young coach and GM who can rebuild the culture. I think the team has a lot of good pieces but Rivera has been a pretty bad coach quite frankly.

@@baronvonnembles it means that obviously both of them have never seen Chase or Sweat play. Both are extremely underwhelming when you watch them. They aren’t game changers, not even close although they were supposed to be. That’s supposed to be is what this take is based on.

Uh, for all the reasons listed - the Redskins wouldn't sign Belichick if he was a free agent, let alone give.up compensation to bring him on board.

Good lord no, Bill needs to retire and go fishing! I am sure Kraft is losing his patience. There is a time when you have to realize that this game is no longer a passion, but a chore. Bill has reached that point. Retire Bill, retire off into the sunset.

Listen, whether you like Rivera or not, it’s super disrespectful towards him making up these false rumors about Belichick. That being said, I’m willing to bet the defense gets back to the elite level. I think the rumors about CY being a bad teammate were 100% accurate. Think about it, why wasn’t CY voted a team captain at the beginning of the season? Also, why were Jon Allen & Gibson not upset or didn’t even care or reach out to Montez and CY after they got traded? Though Sweat and Young have potential, none of them were good enough for Washington to get a contract that they’ll most likely want in FA. Sweat & Young were both drafted in the first round. They’re supposed to be difference makers, franchise changers, but they weren’t playing up to their potential in Washington. They needed to cut ties. They should’ve done it sooner to be honest. But I think part of it was they wanted to see how the first half of the season went before making the moves. Secondly, Toohill isn’t some scrub. Dude has 4 sacks (1 less than CY) and has played a lot less snaps. Always, look at the team’s record the last few years when Toohill & Smith-Williams plays with no CY or Sweat versus when CY & Sweat are playing…

Florio has made all this up!!! Belichek is NOT coming to commanders!! He's not winning anything where he's at plus he is a defensive coach!! Why would they go after another Ron Rivera??? Stop putting false stuff out Florio!!!! I'm really beginning to hate Florio!! He's also had big part in us having to change Redskins name!!!
