All the Macro trends point to - The road to India’s future passes through Washington, and not through Moscow or Beijing. The World will not accept Big countries to encroach and usurp land. At the end of the day, India will pursue its potential and future based upon Indian values and principles. And, it is aligned more with the West. Once Putin passes, Russia will revert back to its European identity. Russian people would also like to live like the Europeans - resulting in a congruence of the 3 powers in your Quadrilateral.

Ever wonder why outside of the both sides of the north Atlantic, no region else in the world isn't believing in the "usurping land" argument? See, people can think and see through the chaff. 2 of the quad are sidekicks, there are only 2 powers there. For all the big talk of confronting the bully yet doing business as usual, only 1 has actually acted and physically pushed back the bully. It's just not only that India's future goes through Washington, but also that North Atlantic's future prosperity goes through Asia, inevitably through India.

The common sense says number 3&4 have a great trust between them and that is the underlying basis of this new equation. China and USA will have to trust one another and that is easier said than done.Russians have been offered a deal. They bring in the critical technology. Indian do the manufacturing and Sales. China is growing power regarding whom the USA is not comfortable. If the Chinese n Americans have to come together then the USA will have to relent on Chinese concerns. That is completely new World order.

I am disappointed with this episode. The observations by the good general are so ordinary and mundane. I expected better from you and please I look forward to a better historical analysis taking on the Hindu attitude of non-violence which brought in 900 years of Muslim rule. We must remember strategic autonomy has little importance when confronting China. The border problem must be solved and the fact is China is economically way ahead of India. How strategic autonomy is going to change that?

Na Modi ko English/Russian ati aur na Putin ko Hindi. Ye goonge/behron ke tarha kya sign language me baat karte hain? Dono ko sign language bhi nahi ati. Putin ko hatiyar/tel bechna hai aur India ko US ke khilaf use karna hai. Pakistan ke tarha US/China/Russia ke paas India ke koi strategic value nahi hai. As a big market of 300 million (out of 1.4 billion) sirf commercial value hai. For China Pakistan is useful in a two front war with India and also to waste Indian military resources in Kashmir by having Pakistani infiltrators at the Kashmir border. For the US Pakistan is like a watchtower to keep an eye on Russia and the middle east from Afghanistan/Iran to Saudi Arabia. For Pakistan both will bear economic loss if they have to, just to keep Pakistan as a viable entity.
