i was 11 years old. I used to watch the music television programs hoping they would play this song. I didn't know the name of this song. But i really loved it. And, 30 years later, i finally find it here... this is the song i will take with me until the end of my days, this is the song i waited 30 years to find. I really love this song!!! Thanks for the upload!!!

I heard this beautiful song on the radio early this evening and I simply had to go and check it out! I had no idea that the singer, Jim Diamond, is no longer with us. How terribly sad. He lives on in his music. RIP Jim, a Diamond of a singer XX

In the late 70's, I think it was, Qube came to Columbus Ohio. It was a test market for the first cable TV. We watched MTV constantly. MTV was all music all the time. This song was on the loop, and it was one of my family's favorites. Love the song - Love the video!

I heard this on BBC Radio 2 yesterday lunchtime on Jeremy Vine's show - since then I can't stop listening to it. It's been donkey's years since I last heard this. A typically 80s song and whenever I stop to listen to it and think, I can so easily think back to the 80s. Though not much of the 80s, what with being born in '84.

lake fire 60's, 70's and 80's were the best, and I agree with what you say, it did start to get bad by the end of the 80's, but I would say 1989, after that it really declined fast!

Just love that rhythmic organ sound in the background and then when the singing pauses and the organ takes over it just picks you up and you soar through the air in an ecstasy of emotion.

WOW--what memories!! The early MTV days (1981-83) were the best!! Split-Enz, The Pretenders,Adam Ant, The Selecter, Echo and the Bunnyman...I can go on and on!! There was a quirky, edgy quality to the music!! And the cheesiness of the videos somehow fits PERFECTLY with this era!!

The Buggles started it all. Video killed the radio star. David Bowie(ashes to ashes, funk to funky, we know major tom's a junkie). There was a band called Shoes that had a couple tunes. Yeah man, early MTV was cool. Only for about 3 years though. Then VH1 would play the good stuff. But early VH1. Any one remember that. Completely weird stuff from bands I never even heard of.

Back in the day before internet I used to go through all the Simple Red albums just to find this song but later I realised it belonged to PHD. I still think Jim Diamond and Mick Hucknall's voices sound a lot like each other.
