Being located in Jharkhand, I have a special interest in Santals and other local tribes so I was naturally following up on Mrs Droupadi Murmu's election as our next president. While there, the KZfaq algorithm showed S Phangnon Konyak as the first woman tribal MP to Rajya Sabha. She eventually brought me to your channel and I subscribed. I'm happy to be here, you show me a facet of my country that we, the so called mainlanders, are not really aware of even if we are interested. It is hard to find content on the North East and you are doing an excellent job on that score.

This channel was much needed. I have believed that for most of the time since independence, the North East and rest of the India have been somehow disconnected, or rather there's are lot to be done in the rest of India to educate about the history, geography, people, and culture of North East Indians - how vastly diverse it is inspite of not covering a vastly large area. I am from West Bengal and I admit that I don't know very much about NE India. I have recently started to read about the rich history that it has and how sacrilegiously it was omitted from the school history books. I have also observed that there is very little awareness among the masses and appropriation and stereotyping thrives due to this ignorance. Channels like this are the need of the hour to bridge this long neglected gap. I wish all the best.

Good interview. I'm glad about this party decision and also phangnon mam to take up this responsibilty. As one stands up, millions of opinions will pop up, some may be good or some may be bad, you cannot control it, whatever soever may be the circumstances in the near future, I believe phanyok konyak mam will not give up and stand stronger. I applaud her views n perception, she had definitely win over my approval,especially at the very statement of " There are might be space in political party, but at home, society or community may not be giving them that space".As a young women, she is definitely I wanna look up to and as my role model.

I appreciat her selection to Raja sabha member. All bjp MLAs,ministers of Nagas says Polictical issue does not affect their personal religions. It may be true ,their spritual may not be affected. But we see very very big changes in Nagaland after bjp come to power.... 99.9% may agree after bjp come to power in center Hindu Religions activity is Revive in Nagaland.we are not against Hindu religion bcoz as a christian states Nagaland is the only state in India all religions are given freedom only in Nagaland where is 99% christian only state in India. So Nagaland bjp can not close their eyes to this religion climate in Nagaland.

In my opinion, BJP is perhaps the most progressive Political Party in India. And I'm saying this because I rarely watch Sold Out Mainstream Media which has a habit of portraying Right Wing in bad light. The Most Hardcore Hindu Nationalist Government which is in Uttar Pradesh supports Transgenders the most among all of the other Parties in State, Transgenders have a separate Hindu 'Akhada' called as 'Kinnar Akhada' and also they have dedicated Metro Stations like in Noida.

I find the interviewer dumb and puzzled as to how a Naga woman is being given a opportunity like this! I find it really shocking that Naga society should be still so patriarchal! The nagas from all tribes need to smell the coffee and come to a gender neutral space! Get scientific and spiritual rather than stuck into old notions! The woman is being given the opportunity because she is talented and deserves it... period! Don't get indigestion over it!

I support her because she now in history book of Nagaland of being FIRST WOMAN IN NAGALAND TO REPRESENT RAJYA SABHA and SECOND WOMAN IN THE STATE OF NAGALAND TO REPRESENT IN THE PARLIAMENT but I can't trust BJP workers when it comes to sensitive issues that may have adverse effects on Nagaland... These karyakartas Or whatever they call themselves are very experts in bootlicking, they'll do anything to please their masters in Delhi. Few days back she tweeted the Kashmir Files like her masters in Delhi. I think BJP workers will even vote on their Death Sentence Bill if their master command so. I can also sense appeasement politics here. Is it wrong to connect this to Oting massacre of civilians by Indian Army? Covering up by giving her a chance? Or we still waiting for justice? Also the demand of Eastern Nagaland as separate State Or UT is going nowhere lately. Or am I missing something? Please enlighten me Let's hope for the best.
