Very good... But what is the difference between "substrate" and "nutrient medium" ? Here sugar used is a part of sub strate or nutrient medium ? Thank you

substrate is defined as the substance on which the enzyme will act to give out the desired product, while the nutrient medium is defined as the medium required by the micro-organisms to initiate the process of substrate conversion. In other words, the nutrient medium provides the micro-organism an optimum condition in which they can start their conversion processes.
