Pharos 3 by Conotech is an ultra lightweight, compact and multifunctional thermal imaging device that can be used as a goggle or handheld unit for night/day operations. The device offers excellent thermal imaging detection at medium distances with its 384x288, 12µm Thermal Sensor and fast lens (F1.0). It allows to see in a total darkness and detect heat signatures even through smoke and tree branches

Hi! Can you tell me if the device has a diopter adjustment for people with non-ideal vision and how it is implemented?

Hi, as I understand Pharos 3 doesn't have built-in diopter adjustment, at least I didn't find it on my unit. But as I know Conotech can make customization to every unit, so maybe they can add this feature too to your particular device. Another solution - as It's very compact, it would be comfortable enough to wear the unit over your glasses, or if you wearing contact lenses, , you will be fine. For example I used it for playing airsoft wearing the unit over my protective goggles. I sent a request to Conotech to give an official answer for your question, they should reply soon, and I will send you their answer once I have it or they will reply to your comment here.

@@user-gy4le1jg8z Conotech replied, they say the following: Yes, the twistlock can help to adjust the diopter. If you will look at the device there is a small lever designed for this.

@@YuriShubenin I could not find the diopter adjustment lever in the photo of the device As I understood, the manufacturer confuses the concepts of focus and diopter adjustment

@@user-gy4le1jg8z Sorry for the late reply, I think you right, the representative I talked to confused focus and diopter adjustment. And as I know there is no diopter adjustment on Pharos 3

I tried both and both devices are great and not cheaply made at all, high quality. Tilo 3Z is slightly more compact, yes, but Pharos 3 has better specs in the same price range comparing to Tilo 3Z - better sensor resolution and display resolution. In fact Pharos 3 made of high quality metal, while Tilo3Z is plastic - polyamid, Pharos 3 has IP67, while Tilo 3Z has IP65. However like I said they are both great gadgets. Did you try both? Or just assuming?
