What do you think about the DOTS projector? I absolutely love it! :D

4k Camera is my absolutely favorite now, don’t have to rely on someone in the van to watch for orbs.

Glad you stuck around to see one of the projectors get thrown out of bounds. From 7:34-7:37, the Oni slid the DOTS projector by the bedroom door over to the home radiator by the wall while you were setting up the camera. It would be cool if only non-DOTS ghosts could move the projectors, but that doesn't look to be the case. Thanks for the guide!

Interesting tidbit regarding D.O.T.S.: there's no ghost that has both D.O.T.S. and Ghost Writing. This is very useful to avoid testing for evidence combinations that can't happen. SPOILER: DOTS/Writing aren't the only mutually exclusive evidences. So are Freezing/SpiritBox and EMF/Orbs.

I actually would like to see more DOTS animations: like the ghost walking through slowly or the ghost walks into it then stops and looks around etc

My team and I had a hard time figuring out on how to use this item for our last evidence, and we managed to see a lightning speed ghost movement through video cam in the truck 😅 we hope the devs could make the ghost move little bit slowly so that we can see it more clearly

Amazing video! As someone who also plays phasmo, it's super easy to just binge all of your videos because you explain it in such a casual way. I had a DOTS ghost just yesterday and while I was trying to convince my friends about what I saw, it actually threw the projector around a LOT which only made it harder. So yes, I've seen a DOTS ghost throw the projector itself :D

The audio shift of the DOTS when the ghost is walking through it is a 1000 IQ tip - never noticed it

When you said that dead people could really easily see the dots, i had a realization A team using only in game chat could set up a system where you take certain items to represent certain evidences (a cup could be writing, plate could be emf 5 for example), and place them outside. Then, if a person dies, they could walk in, check some evidence if possible, and either take a second of the representative item, or just throw it at people (If they see emf, they could repeatedly chuck a cup around the truck). This would bypass the players and dead people not being able to talk to each other Or you could just use Discord lmao Can't wait to play in the new update myself

Yes, the model changes. You can even get the crawler that goes across the floor. A useful tip in found (which you saw at the end of the video) is that the EMF always gets triggered so yeah, easy to spot

I was watching cams in the ghost room during a hunt, and it looked like it showed the dots ghost in place of the ghost model while it was "invisible" and within range of the dots projector. Really awesome stuff

DOTS are fascinating, definitely a little frequent from what I've seen, but it's really cool regardless, especially if you're seeing it for the first time type of deal. I took a screenshot of my teammates literally just all staring at the screen pointing it out every time it zipped by.

one thing about dots evidence to be clear as book writing and happend not so often: if we could have video recorder cam and an option to connect dots projector to this cam to have video records of "dots events" - it's gonna be another cool type of experience, especially with Goryo on single runs.

I would love a difficulty where the whole building is the ghost room. Like you have to place cameras throughout the entire place and there's specific like 3 marked areas of interest to get the 3 evidence. Would prolong the investigation and have you use most of the map. Not sure how well it'd work in progress just would like to use the whole map like a real investigation instead of just stuck to one room

one easy way to identify dots ghosts is by dropping an emf reader near a projector. If you see it beep often without noticing any interactions, it's most likely a dots ghost. This should be an easy way to identify a goryo without having to return to the truck

EXACTLY WHAT I WAS LOOKING FOR

Can confirm a DOTS ghost is able to show dots evidence during hunts and its also able to throw dots projectors around but that's pretty rare

DOTS ghost can throw them indeed. Also I had The Grudge model and it was actually crawling on the cam when i saw it on DOTS

In a bigger room we also put down a EMF next to the D.O.T.S, since when a Ghost runs through it, it gives our EMF lv.2. So that + the wavy buzzing and make it easy too! Also found a neat little glitch haha. So there is the glitch, that 2 player can pick up the same item, and then if player1 selects it, it will disappear from player2's hand. If you do that with Sanity Pill. Player1 can use it, then player2 has to scroll or press Q and there will be another Sanity Pill the hand. So with that, you can have more than 4 pills if you use that.

sometimes they only crawl. and any combo between walking and crawling. its modle also changes like the kid, man, big moma or the weird tall slanky alien model. really cool. also in a hunt the dots start to strobe light

From the games I have played, I have only seen DOTS ghosts throwing/moving DOT Projectors, never seen a non-DOT ghost throw/move them. Also Insym, having 2 DOT projectors down nearby in the same area, you have a slight chance, say... 1/50 chance, could be 1/100 chance of seeing 2 DOT ghosts running at the same time, I got it earlier today twice and I made a clip of said event happening.

That dot projector is basically from paranormal activity 4 with xbox kinect :D Even the way the ghost runs is from there which is really nice :)

I think it's HILARIOUS to just randomly see the ghost run through the DOTS projector like a madman cartoon character in fast-motion. I'd watch it with the Benny Hill theme.

I LOVE the D.O.T.S. I've enjoyed Phasmo so much more than before the update.

The only thing I'm curious about, if you attach the Dots to a plushie or mannequin and the ghost teleports them, will the Dots go with or be left behind?

So I had a Yokai today and no matter how long I stared at the 2 D.O.T.S projectors that I placed in its room, I couldn't see this opaque silhouette once.. Yesterday when I played the update for the first time and actually saw some silhouettes in the DOTS, they were very faint and hard to see as well. But all your dots appearances were so clear and easy to see.. Like wow!

That Oni was cracked up and frantic.

My first ghost i played with on the new update was a goryo and it took me not that long to figure out u had to look at it from the van but i never thought u could see it with the naked eye (with other ghosts besides goryo) and when i saw it from the van it took like 2 minutes to pop up and it was like a clear silowhette(idk how to spell it if i spelt it wrong) like it just walked across the D.O.T.S and it was full body not fast it just did a slow walk lol (this was like 2 hours after release)

Love the dots. Just curious now that equipment get all messy during a hunt does it effect lighter and candles?

I wonder if we will ever get maps that have multiple ghosts?

I think it'd be neat if the dots just showed up when the ghost was actually there, so it'd be evidence and a tracking tool for ghosts that use it

my first dotsghost (banshee) killed my projector. Bleasdale, ripped it of the walls and it bugged into the bathtub... the room underneath was incredibly fancy though :D

I do need to see that hunting tips video, I've been killed multiple times by ghosts I KNOW didn't see me enter a Closet, with my flashlight, microphone and electronics off.

Yep, DOTS is pretty awesome. You get now why it was so annoyingly loud when the update dropped? We were supposed to hear it if we didn't see it lol. It was very spooky when it happened before, cause it was so rare and happened so fast, but I see why they changed it, it was definitely frustrating to try to get that evidence. But I still think it happens way too often now. Also when you place two DOTS and get them at the same time? Kinda weird, makes it seem like there's 2 ghosts in the room. Also, the cool thing with DOTS and EMF is that you can identify a Goryo straight away, if the room is large enough so the EMF will only pick up the DOTS, then you'll know for sure you're dealing with a Goryo when it happens even without a cam. Also DOTS can trigger EMF 5 with EMF ghosts which gives another piece of evidence for the Goryo very easily. And yes, the DOTS silhouette is the model of the ghost, the crawling child ghost looks specially creepy in the DOTS. Overall, I love this new evidence type. They just need to finetune it.

the DOTS is definitely movable. last night my friends and i were on edgefield trying to use it, we placed the DOTS on the wall of the kitchen bathroom and after a while the ghost knocked it off the wall onto the floor. it wasn't a DOTS ghost, and it only happened once so... yeah. thanks, truly hate it. (i love it)

You can glitch a camera on a tripod to in garages again. Just hold it in your hand, stand on the wall, and lean into the wall till you see inside.

there was a funny moment yesterday where we watched the ghost on camera knock the dots off the wall! yea. that's a thing.

A good way to make it creepier will be to have different iterations like maybe you can have one where the ghost just stands in the DOTS or another where they sit, imagine if you’re walking into the room and you see a crying ghost in your DOTS

I agree, hunts are so much more terrifying especially with the new flashlight blink and the need to turn off stuff like flahslifhts

I'd love to see something like equipment interference mechanic. Where if you put DOTS down or use the Spirit Box then EMF reader would read incoherent data. I mean, flashlights interfere with cameras, why not anything else? It would make people actually think about equipment placement instead of just throwing everything from the truck into the ghost room hoping for the best. Maybe as a difficulty modifier?

Just getting a bit technical here, having 2 DOTS projectors doesn't exactly "doubles" your chances, because it is still highly RNG dependent. But you will surely see an increase. Like you said, it's like ghost writing, so it simply increases the chances of getting it. I'm just making sure that people don't actually think there's an exact x2 value to having 2 DOTS. I've had a few Goryos throw the D.O.T.S, a Wraith and had an Oni yheet it out the hallway we had it into an adjacent room as well as of course Poltergeists having a fun time throwing them

I had a DOTS ghost throw the projector. It only happened once, though. Maybe non DOTS ghosts just throw it more frequently

I had an oni on release, never got the actual DOTS event off it, but IDed it when it gigayeeted the projector. So at least on release it seems they could. I was actually working off the theory that only DOTS ghosts would touch them, but that doesn't seem to be the case.
