Today's lecture is about guiding postgraduate students and those thinking of doing a PhD through the vicissitudes of the doctoral process. In a friendly and down-to-earth way, I illustrates issues that many students have. This video contains some answer to the question :

Maam first of all thank you so much.... Maam i have done my masters degree in economics... I don't have any desertation thesis.... And there are huge gap between my masters and today... Is there any prblm maam

Hello Siddharth, Actually I won’t suggest you to do this, you can try to write maximum 2 Professors not more than that because it won’t leave a good impression of you. You can try to send mails to different departments not in the same

Can you please elaborate on what you said about dissertation are given to students above 60% mark? Is this also applicable for private university students or only government?

In central universities (for example, Delhi University), the dissertation is only given to a person who scored more than 60% in their first year of master's. As I know private universities don't put these kinds of restrictions, some of my friends were in a private institution and they carried out their dissertation (again depends on which private institute you are at because not every private institute offers a dissertation). But if you are seeking admission to a private institute please do proper research on whether they are offering a dissertation or not. Note: If you are in a government university and you didn't score 60% then there is some other way that you can carry out a dissertation. Sure ma'am. Thank you so much. I'm doing my MSc from Christ University, Bangalore. And I hope to do my PhD abroad if I get the chance and patience to. So I was searching for info right from the very start. I'll ask if I have any queries in the future.

Dear Sanchari, You have all the initial criteria to be a European Ph.D. student. Now you just need to look for universities and find research programs in which you are interested and write an email to the responsible Professor. For more details write me an email:)
