My respect for Phil fell when I finished season 3. He was sympathetic at times, but had plenty of unlikable moments; all the characters did, but it was mainly the moments where Phil mistreated Mitch, he never apologised and made amends for what he’d done to and put him through each time like how they would all usually resolve their issues and differences as family, but luckily for Phil, Mitch didn’t hold what he did against him for long. And Mitch had Phil’s back, helped and defended him a few times in the show despite how Phil had treated and did the opposite to him, and Phil also never thanked Mitch for that. Also, his actions and behaviour towards Claire, Haley and Alex in *Leap Day* season 3 and then he got all their sympathy at the end when he never gave them any of his.
