I’m here in 2024…. Wishing I was with the person this song reminds me of. We listened to this so many times, laying on the couch or dancing in the livingroom….

This one makes me cry every time. It reminds me of my husband( who passed away) He's the only one whoever really knew me. We were married 39 years and I miss him so very much! I love Phil Collins talent & the depth that he sings from.

He is singing LIVE, and he sounds better than pretty much ANY artist today. And he was not considered a particularly outstanding singer back then, good, yes but not great. He was primarily known for being a drummer for Genesis. This ain't no pre-recorded auto-tuned stuff. This is back when all singers had to do was SING. I appreciate his vocal work so much more now. This was one of my favorite songs by him, beautifully performed live here.

My first love and me broke up to this song, Mr Collins, I cried my heart out driving back from standstead airport after dropping her off when she returned to Ireland ... I see her once or twice after .. that was the Christmas of 1993 .. and I still think of her everyday ...

Such a bittersweet song. I dated and loved someone like this and she loved me. We both knew each other so well. Because of that, we also knew we wouldn't be good as a married couple. We differed too much on core beliefs. You can love some one so much and know them so well - but not be right for each other as a married couple. Marriage is a different set of matching values/personalities than best friends. We are still best friends to this day and know each other better than our own spouses, but it's been the right choice. We can joke about those irreconcilable differences. Glad we saw them BEFORE getting married. :D
